on Jesus' "I will survive" video @ mark 9:42, followed by President Bush & Prime Minister Blair's "Endless Love" duet. All in all, your post is very informative. Thanks for sharing.

An excellent talk from one of my favorite Constitutional law professors.
It might surprise some people to hear me say this, but Lessig's point has a lot of value. It also is capable of being corrupted to other purposes. I think there is room to permit creativity without either (a) sacrificing the ability of intellectual property rights holders to profit from their own creativity or (b) opening the floodgates for unlimited free use of ideas outside the creative content. I see nothing inconsistent between supporting Lessig's view generally (and, in fact, I think the karaoke producers are enablers of the "read-write" society he champions) and opposing the unfettered, free, non-creative, commercial exploitation of the work of others simply to make a buck.

Say all you want, I don't live on the forums, even though it may look like it.

Just say'n!!!!!! Contrary to belief, I don't live on this Forum. I read the items here at my leisure. A 19 minute video, talking about the one's opinion of the law, is not what I would consider to be leisure for me... I would consider it to be more along the lines of going to a lecture in school. Now, if it were a 19 minute video (or an hour long video) like the one JD posted from a Comedy Show (in another section of this Forum), I would watch it... because that's just simple entertainment. I'm sorry if you feel offended because I stated that I don't feel like I have the time to pay attention to someone else's post more closely. Maybe, instead of feeling hurt or insulted about someone saying they don't feel like devoting the time and attention to what you feel is important, you could rectify that by supplying the Cliff Notes, instead of being insulting about it. And, to re-quote you: mightywiz wrote: Just say'n!!!!!! WHATEVER!!! BTW... This did not take me 19 minutes to write, and I'm sure it didn't take you 19 minutes to read.

What jumped out at me was when he mentioned that with a $1500.. compter, you can do all of these creative things. This video must be pretty old because you can get a pretty nifty PC for around $300 these days. Interesting video though.

I also tune in to Tedtalks every now & then. Very informative platform for new ideas channeled like storytelling by speakers & often funny. Young adults @Kidtalks are most impressive with their young ideas & creativity. A 12yr old app developer, a 15yr old who developed a new accurate test for pancreatic cancer, etc. Amazing!
