I have purchased an update pack for my main system but would like to start getting both my rigs back to the same songs / versions. Right not I am handling the problem by purchasing tricerasoft versions for the second rig but I would rather pay 2x download 1x and put on both rigs. Ed, I know we just got off the phone but I thought some others might need this answer as well. If you are on our auto release program I manually take care of the multiple charges.

Cue- when we do start the certification process we will have to charge a fee. That is yet to be determined. We have to pay for the people doing the audits as well as our tech team's time to put all hosts on a site. But here's the rub.... The audits were for KJs to prove that they were 1:1 (1 song track on a disc to 1 download of the same song track on their hard drive). As an ODB (Only Disc Based) KJ, I am NOT 1:1... I am just 1 (as in nothing to match up to).

Are you going to be in the business of trademark enforcement on those brands, or just CB, since that was your brand to begin with?

The only things that we can audit from other manus are the songs that we have obtained licenses for. We have obtained the entire CB catalog but we can only sell what we have obtained the licenses for. We will be protecting the CB name. As I stated previously, everything that is on Karaoke Cloud is what we are worried about. That is what we DigiTrax Entertainment are protecting.

I'm not running Cloud, nor do I want to, and I only own one CB disc. Are you going to expect me to get audited and certified?? How is that going to work??

I think that there is alot of confusion about Karaoke Cloud and Karaoke Cloud Pro. The Karaoke Cloud is just a platform, kind of like iTunes. You can purchase LEGAL mp3+g downloads from Karaoke Cloud. The Pro is a subscription.
As far as auditing, as long as you maintain a 1:1 ratio you are fine with the CB. As far as the other manus that is up to them. We can only go after infringement with the CB logo. That is the ONLY one that we own.

I sincerely thank you for that post Gretchen. BOTH very important points to remember, especially number 2. I hope that it puts the SGB/CB rumors to rest.

Hey Gretchen, I was looking for Badfinger, "No Matter What". I found two versions, but there is no way of knowing who's versions they are. Will that be fixed soon?? I don't want to buy a version of a song that I wouldn't like. Thanks.

The JFJ Easy Pro now costs less than half what I paid for it, and will correct anything short of label-side damage. If you are disc based, this is probably the best investment you can make. Not only for repair of your current discs, but for making inexpensive purchases of used discs worthwhile. Before Bazza gets worked up, please note that I said "if you are disc based". Of course, it's great for game, software, music, and video discs as well.... Best thing I ever bought as well. Does a great job resurfacing scratched discs! - ANY disc!

Gretchen, I just purchased the downloads for both Red and Red Vol. 2 from the KC site (@ 14.99 each). I had no problem with the downloads. They were sent to me in a ZIP File, which contained an MP3G and a CDG file for each of the 20 songs. I moved the files into a folder on my Desktop, and converted the ZIP Files to BIN Files, so that I could burn them to discs (using my Goldenhawk program)... As I have stated before, I am an ODB (Only Disc Based) KJ.
The question I have is regarding my receipt for the purchase. I received an e-mail receipt, which just contained an invoice number. There is nothing in that receipt (if I needed to show it to anyone for verification) that indicates I purchased these 2 discs (which I now created), or the song titles that were contained within those purchases. Who would I need to talk to to obtain such an itemized document?
