That's a possibility too. The clip I heard on SAT sounded pretty damn close, maybe Sunfly is changing all their old stuff with SBI replacements??

My bad... You are correct Lonnie. Even tho I don't use it, I still have the original SBI track that I first received. When I copied the disc for use in my library, I copied over it with the SF version that they gave me. I just played both renditions, and they do sound identical; however, SBI recreated the word-swipes on their version/label, and the word swipes are neater/better on the SF version (IMO).

They both do have their own swipes.
I actually prefer the SBI to SF because SBI uses the line by line over the page by page - as far as swiping goes - but even the swipes may be different how each interpret the lyrics for their own use.

Top Hits Monthly never put logos in the middle of a track, so when they "went under" (ha ha) Panorama (the "successor" ha ha) simply replaced the first & last 5 or 10 seconds or so of each track with a blue screen and white letters - but everything in between is the same - THM red with white letters. That would take 20 minutes to do.

Panorama WAS Top Hits Monthly. Stellar (aka Pop Hits Monthly) acquired that catalog - two totally different companies.

Panorama sold their assets while in litigation. I forget who they sold it to, but that company was the one who changed the CDGs.

And PHM acquired THM? I never knew that. Are you sure?

...Troy.In the last several months (within the last year), I made a huge filler order with PHM. I mostly chatted with Tony during that week. I inquired about their CAP Program because I didn't exactly understand it (thought it was like the SC Gem and Chartbuster 6000/12000 HD) but it's not. It was to cover you if you had an illegally obtained a loaded dive of the Karaoke Tracks that they owned). I explained to him that I had some of the PHM and Top Hits Monthly CDGs but no illegal HD. Tony said as long as you have the original discs you're fine. Since part of their library was Panorama's THM, I inquired about some filler Panorama Top Hits Monthly Discs. He said he would love to sell them to me, because he had a warehouse full of them, but he couldn't. My memory is a little foggy here but I believe it had to do with lack of licensing.

...I believe another PHM rep or owner was posting on here, a couple of months back and he briefly posted about a lawsuit between PHM and THM (I believe this was a different lawsuit than the first lawsuit but I could be wrong). But to the best of my knowledge, PHM owns or has the remaining unlicensed (I'm assuming) stock of THM Discs but cannot distribute/sell them. Am guessing it's because of lack of original licensing for those Discs.

So Gretchen,
...I have a question or two, think I forget to ask the DT rep last week. Maybe it's already written somewhere or you guys have this covered but what would keep a KJ from signing up as a home user ($9.99) and using it in a Commercial Environment instead of signing up for a Commercial Account as it's designed to be? Sorry about playing Devil's Advocate here? Just curious...

...Are you guys going to list the KJ or Commercial users on your web site for others to see? Kind of like the ole Chartbuster and SC Site.

...Are you "Ink Stamping" the individual downloads with unique ascending serial numbers? Wouldn't mind seeing a list of customers, some place on your website, who have legally purchased these downloads with a list of the tracks they've purchased (including the serial numbers that correspond with those tracks purchased) so we know who is buying them legally.
...I know Power Karaoke offers this software for their customers and I believe they stated it was hard to remove. Just hate to see the Pirates buying your tracks and then sharing/selling them. Plus, if an investigator ever walked in a show, he/she could look at the DT serial number on the screen and look up that number, at the DT Website, to make sure it matches the KJ's listed library...Just wondering?

The consumer version is rendered in a lower resolution. When you use full screen the graphics are distorted and are a very poor quality.

We are building a new website for Legal KJs. They will be issued reference number. The reference number will be attached to the KJ on the site.

We are using Proprietary technology called finger printing.

So does this mean you'll be taking all the old CB certified kj's & listing them on this site?
Also I was just finishing up my SC audit when I tried to get my CB audit done, they were already in the closing stae & I was told that I couldn't do it at that time. Will DT be doing audits of the CB library or give the kj's a chance to have one done before any lawsuits might occur?

...Thanks Gretchen for answering those questions and Lonman brings up another good question for any of those who were thinking about auditing their libraries and some of us who were previously certified through Chartbuster.

well, that is why you were asking, isn't it? You'd love to put a cramp in their style, wouldn't you. You've made it perfectly clear that you have an axe to grind with them. One other thing I'd like to point out. You have subbed a few songs already and have received 20 comments on them. You have yet to leave as much as a thank you on any of them. That kind of thing tends to upset some people and maybe that is part of the reason that you may have been singled out at singsnap? How many other people have you listened to on the Singers Showcase? Have you left any comments on anyone else's songs? If you don't return a few pats on the back, people will start skipping over your songs. It's all up to you.

i wasn't aware that anybody was legally partnered up with CB online. many sites had them and SC songs as well (like Sing Snap) but as far as i know neither of them are authorized.
perhaps Harrington could chime in on that, He is SC's attorney.
