Hi,
i´ve just joined the forum to get some help from you guys.I´ve been reading through the forum for weeks now and bow to the vast amount of knowledge and experience you guys have in the field of karaoke.
If only i had found this forum a couple of years ago.
Anyway,here´s my system;

DYNACORD MP7 Power mixer

KME 1152 Speakers

KME Monitor Box

JVC SV22 CDG Player

Compaq NX7000 Laptop with Hoster

About 4000 Tracks(300 of which are German)

Here´s my problem.

I have just bought a Sonic Maximizer 862 and i´m unsure as to where to iinclude it in the installation.Does anyone have any experience with the MP7?.

Thanks for any help.

I run mine before i get to the mixer.. Ive looked at the manual for your mixer and 862 and i would suggest the same.. the 862 has xlr inputs and 1/4in..
so from your music output either cd player/computer into bbe from bbe into mixer then mixer to speakers.
couldnt live without my bbe...

On the top of the Dynacord, there are (2) 1/4" jacks in the upper right marked Master A outputs. Run thos to the inputs on the 862 & the outputs on the 862 to the Power Amp Input on the Dynacord. This will give the entire mix the BBE shine. Use balanced 1/4" plugs on both input & output, your mixer & BBE is set up for it. Never heard of that mixer, but it looks like a nice board.
If you hook it up before the mixer, either the music or the mics only are getting the benefit - which may be all you are looking for, but usually if it's on the music only, the mics start sounding more dull because they won't be able to cut through the music without adding more eq. It can go on the mics only to help them cut through the mix better, but add too much process & you'll be in a feedback mode.
Hooking it up via the above described method gives the entire mix the BBE benefits. You'll probably find you won't need to eq as much as well.

Thanx both for your help.As i would like both music and mics running over the BBE i will take Lonmans advice.Personally i would have gone from the speakers output to the BBE and then back to the speakers.Just goes to show eh!.I´m one of those persons that was sucked into buying stuff which i don´t really need or understand.
Have heard the Mackie SRM450 s in action and love them, now i have to sell all my kit at a loss to get them. You live and sometimes learn!.
Buy the way the new version of Hoster is great.Wouldn´t do a karaoke without it again.

Yeah you could hook the speaker out to the BBE providing you want to replace all your gear afterward

You don't have to get rid of any of your gear, unless you want to sell it to pay for new gear. The mixer will inporporate with the SRM450. You just bypass the internal amp & go directly to the SRM's.
