yes yes I know! this thread has NOTHING to do with karaoke, but oh well!! ok all......... I need some ideas..... As some of you may know, I work at a liquor store and we're gonna dress up for halloween.... there's two other guys that work there and I'm gonnna try to convince them to dress up like some liquor namesakes....... like Jack Daniels or Captain Morgan (just needs a pirate costume) or something, but now I need an idea for me.... Can anyone think of a type of alcohol with a female namesake? cuz I can't!!

Nothing that I can come up with out of memory. We used to carry a liquor called Tequila Rose, it was a strawberry flavored creme drink with tequila. How about a drink instead? Look in a bartenders guide and come up with some ideas. I saw beer bottle and tequila bottle costumes at a halloween costume store, both were very generic but I was thinking about geting one and doctoring it up using a poster from the local beer distributor. I haven't been paying attention lately what beer companies are using for advertising this year. I remember a few years ago Miller Lite was using Elvira as a spokesperson.....

That a shot from your place Phil?
If I had to wear a costume it'd be the one on Arrogant Bastard Ale.
Of course there are plenty of drinks you could go as....
Blue Hawaiian (think blue man group in a sarong)
Of course there are some that are a little more risque that should probably be avoided....
The ever popular 'Bud Babes', 'Miller Girls', etc are another possibility... but probably not a good idea to be in a skimpy bathing suit in a liqour store.
With a little thought you could be a:
Drinking straw
Drink unbrella
Drink garnishes - ie lime, lemon, cherry, etc
You could splash gin on yourself, dress in dirty, wrinkled clothes, pin a bottle of aspirin on your shirt, and carry around a glass of tomator juice (Bloddy Mary) and come as a 'hang over'
Put on boxers w/ the fake butt hanging out the back (get at a costume shop) and come as a Heine (Heineken).
With a little thought I'm sure you can come up with something...
(I'm partial to the St. Pauli Girl costume that Phil posted though... pretty good beer...)

Crystal my dear western Canadian girl, you can always dress up as one of Alexander Keith's bar wenches from their commercial a couple of years ago, before they had that obnoxious Scotsman and his "spilly talker" phrase.
For those who don't know, Keith's is the best selling Canadian Maritime India Pale Ale. The commercials were about a privateer's life in Halifax, Nova Scotia. His wenches make the Coor's girls look rather plain.
BTW I think you would look great. Also post your pics if you do.

Well, we have a couple here in the UK...
There's a REAL cheap wine called "Blue Nun".... kinda speaks for itself...
And "Murphy's" stout has the advert with the "Sisters of Murphys" which is basically 3 women sleazing about in black pvc catsuits......

I forgot all about 'Blue Nun' and the other wines.
Of course with a little creativity you could even be the German wine, Zeller Schwartz Katze (their mascot is a black cat). They used to put small plastic black cats on elastic around the necks of the bottles.
Leibfraumilch is another one. They have a German Frau on the label.
Take a walk through the store and see if there's anything that strikes your fancy. You never know what you'll find.

just go as a brown paper bag that liquor bottles are put in when they are sold (at least here they are)... or dress up as a bottle opener... or a bottle of aspirin for the next days hangover... or dress up as an alcoholic anonymous counselor- when they come up to buy their booze you can give the same introduction each time.. Hi my name is crystal.. I haven't had a drink in ..oh about 10 minutes... is this everything you will be purchasing tonight? hiccup...-tig
