It was just the lyrics posted in another thread. I haven't sung any of them for the showcase.... went out to Asia Garden (karaoke/dance 7 days a week) last night and started changing lyrics on the fly... unfortunately, I wasn't singing the song, I was in the audience saying them to my fiance. She didn't approve of some of them but with some work...hmmmm

BTW, haven't heard his e-bay song but I think I saw some lyrics for it.

BHB: I agree that if the parody is designed for release (ala Weird 'Al') the original artist/songwriter should be notified and permission requested (also ala Weird 'Al) but it's not 'required' - it's meant to 'keep the peace' among all the players in the 'business'.

TIGGER - (sorry to shout but I needed to get over the sound of ego). I know exactly what you mean. A lyric and melody come together spontaneously that seem SO outstanding...then they're gone. It's painful, really. The buzz of life (for busy stiffs like us) blurs the beauty of it all and steals our great art from us!! At least it seems like great art, right? Trust me.. it is!!!

KaraokeMiester --- The 'Partidge Family' reply is the funniest post I've ever read on this site!!

Old Paint, that was very poetic! I still don't have an answer to my question of, where do these melodies come from, esp. when we're asleep or half-awake? And it's true that they leave very quickly, because I lose it about 5 mins after I wake up.

So, OP, if you one comes to you, just record it as quick as possible.
