Okay, after trying to record a song as you all have so insisted that I do, I found that it is next to impossible.

First, I finally downloaded some software (still attempting to figure it out.)

Second, I tried to record my voice over the track. Can't seem to get the volumes set right.

Third, after fooling with it, I listen to the playback and OMG I stink!

Fourth, so I attempt to rerecord. Only to have my phone ring. Tried again. Then my email indicator pops up ad causes a strange sound! Then again, I have an IM pop up with someones music! Goodness, how do you folks do it?

Okay so I'm not going to submit those attempts but I thought wouldn't it funny to hear someone elses attempts or screwups. So I created a new genre "BLOOPERS!" I hope we get some interesting ones in there. Oh and as always please keep it clean! (We do have minors who visit the site also!) - one of the reasons I'm not submitting mine. :)

Thanks

Phill

Hey Phill:
That is a terrific addition. There's nothing like laughter and singing to keep us mentally sane. You're off the hook with me about your efforts to sub something. We need you more as our Webmaster.
A 70's genre would be very nice????
Keep up the great job you are doing.

I agree! Great idea!! I love watching those bloopers on TV also and I love hearing other people's bloopers - it kind of makes them seem more human if you know what I mean....?

A lot of my songs already have bloopers in them! You just gotta listen closely enough.... This is partly cuz I don't know how to edit and I do them in 1-2 takes. But mostlly cuz I'm a klutz.

I think this is gonna be a great addition!

most of my blurps would be rated X! LOL!

Phil, you might want to try Cool Edit Pro 2... it's got the ability to record on multiple tracks. The vocals on one, the music on the another, and then you can go back over it a third time, add a third track and add backing vocals! I did this one time, and had a ball with it!

You said you didn't like to order off line, but I think you'd be ok with this company...I order offline all the time and have never had a problem!

heh heh I saw where you already got it!! YEAH!!!!!

Phill, here some examples for pure educational purposes.

Precious And Few, Change Of Heart, Baby What A Big Surprise, Feelin' Stronger Every Day, Wishing You Were Here, Afternoon Delight, All By Myself, All Right Now, American Pie, And I Love You So, Baby Come Back, Bennie And The Jets, Best Thing That Ever Happened To Me, Billy, Don't Be A Hero, The Boys Are Back In Town, Copacabana (At The Copa), Could It Be Magic, Deja Vu, Different Worlds, Don't Give Up On Us, Don't Stop, Happy Days, Here Comes That Rainy Day Feeling Again, Honesty, Honky Cat, Hopelessly Devoted To You, Hurting Each Other, I Am...I Said, I Shot The Sheriff, I Write The Songs, I'm Not Lisa, If You Leave Me Now, Island Girl, It's Impossible (Somos Novios), The Last Time I Felt Like This, Where Do I Begin , Maggie May, Maybe I'm Amazed, Me And You And A Dog Named Boo, Neither One Of Us (Wants To Be The First To Say Goodbye), Night Fever, One Toke Over The Line, One Tin Soldier, Pieces Of April, Please Come To Boston, Ready To Take A Chance Again , Right Time Of The Night, The Rockford Files, Sad Eyes, She Believes In Me, She's Always A Woman, Speak Softly, Love, Year Of The Cat, You Make Lovin' Fun

The 70's genre was mainly (take note, not completely) a horrible phaze in music which had the following characteristics:
Made me sick without even listening to it again
Made me want to break my radio
Made my stomach turn
Brought out violent thoughts of hatred, revenge, etc.
Reminded me how lame the radio and record companies are
Would make me leave a bar or club if they started playing it
Would make me boo a band who started playing it
Suspended my believe in a divine force that governs the universe

But then again, that's just my humble opinion

WOW!

I love many of those songs! I didn't realize that they were a genre unto themselves. I hope to hear many of these performed (even if it turns poor AllStars stomach) ;)

Now I know why tonmay asked for this. he could perform many of these very well. :D

Thanks for the info.

Hi, Phil. I don't record directly into the computer like some, I record on my karaoke machine first, then transfer it to my pc. Anyway, whenever I record to the pc, I close all other programs (including antivirus etc.) so nothing interferes with it!! So that might help you....

No one will be hearing my screechy bloopers.
:)
