It would make sense to me that as the gap between Manu and KJ gets smaller and smaller, the level of transparency and communication has to be stepped up. That is the only way these attempts at micromanaging independent business owners can be mutually beneficial. Of course, the Pandora's box that may result could be destructive--and perhaps incriminating--on BOTH sides...

It's most likely the way it was worded, instead of 'illegal CAVS unit', they may have been better off stating something like 'an illegally loaded CAVS unit' as their example.
However either way it was worded wouldn't have deterred me from buying it - it's the actual unit itself that steered me away from it, after seeing them in action, I could care less if they came equipped with every song known to karaoke man!
