And yes he is gettin' better, but the goin' is slow. He can stand now for a few minutes and he is talkin' more, but he is still very hard to understand.
He can't swallow yet and that has a lot to do with talkin'. He has a G-tube.

He wants top come home and he is trin' to deal with pain of loosin' his bride to be. He cries a lot, but tonight I got him to laugh. I was talkin' real close to him and he coughed. The halo which weighs about a ton, hit me in the forhead. Ouch! Well he thought it was funny and started to laugh. When I touched my head it was bleedin'. The rest of the visit we tried to keep the discussion away from the accident and Melisa. I wish I could make it all better.....

Oh KKid, I just visited your website and could not stop crying. I feel for you and your family at this very difficult time. We don't realize how easy we have it until something like this happens. Sometimes we don't appreciate the simple act of feeding ourselves or dressing ourselves.

It is so nice how you've made a journal of all the events from the day of the accident leading up to today. I am so touched by what has happened to your son and I truly hope he recuperates just as quickly as possible.

I know you're going through a rough patch right now, but God will help you through. I pray that his pain and yours will diminish quickly. Your son is lucky to have you. I pray for strength for both of you and your family to get through this.

Take good care of yourself, KKid. I'll be thinking about you and Jason.

I echo Luly's sentiments... I couldn't stop sniffin' and damn if I didn't run out of tissues.

Keith, I am at such a loss... my son escaped injury from his accident he was in. (minor scratches only) The thought of losing him or of the type of rehab that your son is going through is nearly impossible to contemplate. The journal you kept is amazing, and I for one read every word of it.

don't know if you've considered it, but have you thought about getting a computer for him to use at the facility? You guys could email each other, or even set up yahoo chats or a messenger!

Jason is really into computers. Before the accident he repaired them and salvaged old ones for parts and such, so your idea makes a lot of sense. There is a computer available at the rehab, but I don't think it's online. Anyway his hand eye coordination isn't steady enough at this time.

He is excited about the fact that when he comes here to stay for awhile he'll have DSL. Thank God for routers.

Anyway thank you for your concern....it's greatly appreciated.
