Someone suggested if ya have a brainstorm let everyone know so here's ma brainstorm ok

1 silver thingy bob if ya listen to a song over 30 seconds

2 silver thingy bobs if ya listen past 60 seconds

3 silver thingy bobs if you listen to the whole song and enjoy it

4 silver thingy bobs if you listen to the whole song enjoy it and comment

and a whopping 5 thingy bobs if ya listen to the whole song enjoy it comment on it and write beautiful beautiful beautiful

oh and i am honestly kidding with the above i am determined to get ma 4th silver thingy bob olol anyways back to the show....people watch out i am coming to listen to ya hehehe

On most forums that's known as 'padding your post count'. Basically by decreasing the signal to noise ratio on the board.

I don't have anything against it.... but I hope you get it soon!

I remember on another board these people were doing that.

It was the most fricken annoying thing (not that I am saying you are annoying HUGS!!)

However, what they would do is write ONE WORD a post (of course they were all probably 13 years old too).

Then, their posts would get deleted....and they would riot.....Ugh!

That would make them make double the threads.....all doing the same thing...one word a post...

post if you have something to say. Initially I looked at where I was only out of curiosity. I have so much fun here I honestly never look anymore!

oh good god you people well firstly this is my sense of humour....padding the what...oh chill out and as for 13...welll my son is coming to that age and ive saw far worse childish behaviour than mine with all the bloody back biting...enough said ...now you lot have bloody narked me!!!...are you not allowed to waffle to yourself and have fun at mad hours of the day here?? lighten up peeps eh!!!

For me, you can post whatever you want

I mean, once I read the thread it is up to me to decide wheather it is interesting to me or not to keep coming back If you want to post about walking to the store...well....that is totally up to you

And, as for the posts about the 13 year olds....All it was is complaining all the time, and they never really had a point.....it was very annoying for us that actually wanted some information on what we were discussing.

on one board I know of.....every 2nd post is "Kalan Porter is Hot"....or "look at this post" followed by some one posting a smilie.

I was no way inferring that you were acting like a 13 year old...those just happened to be the ages of the people that were posting.

Sorry if I have offended you in anyway...as that was totally not what was intended

it's ok yes i was slightly offended i was just fed up of listening to people back biting and stuff i just wanted to post something to pehaps lighten things up ...obviously all i have done is pee'd the people off with my waffles...what makes me laugh is some of them up there are guilty of just putting a smiley or a 2 word comment in posts...these silver thingy bobs mean naff all its just my humour i notice silly little things and just take them to the extreme i.e silver cd's....so i will now shut my gob i simply refuse to get upset here i have just come from one hell hole i don't want to think ive landed in another...i will stick to the showcase from now on unless i have something that's important to say...i was just having fun in my own way...not pushing myself or padding or whatever it appears....here endeth my input into my own WAFFLE carry on people!

Plus, here, you just have to remember that some guys here have very strong opinions about stuff...and they will share what is on their mind..just like you do when you want to try and lighten up the forums These guys here are in NO WAY like what you may have experiened over there....they just have strong opinions and are not afraid to share

This place is nothing like it is over there, and you will find all of these people very friendly, helpful, and will become your friends.

I, for one, like to read anything....that is why I am here

Don't be upset, and continue on with whatever you want to say because it is just as important as anyone else's opinions, posts, and comments

You didn't peeve me off and my post was meant as an informative one, not as a slam against you personally. I wasn't saying you were padding your post count specifically, only that it's done. And ritisroo is right, it's usually nonsense one word posts with no content in them.

I mean if anyone wants to be accused of padding post counts look at me! I'm averaging 5 posts a day - every day - since Aug 1 when I joined. I'm 'around' 375 posts of my nonsensical ramblings in 75 days and no one's called me on it so far....

well perhaps i am just more of a duhhhhh brain than i thought because yes i was offended by many of the comments above...but i guess we all have to be a little bit hypocrital at times don't we guys now wheres that spell checker...hip o critical...hypocrite...errr oh i am sure someone will understand and forgive my spelling errors...and oh dear me yet another sub that did start of with the happiest of intentions has become this ...shame really.

oh 1 more thought....this is what happens when you do try to become part of a community....well i have now learned my lesson here thank goodness its happened sooner rather than later...i will just go back to what i do best and that listen to peoples talents try and be as pleasant as i can be and sing my little heart out for those that wanna listen

MissyGG: I am indeed sorry if I have offended you in any way. It was never my intent, and you can post anything you like. I'm not a moderator here, I'm not anyting special at all with regards to this board, just another looker-on...

Some background on why I'm sometimes a cross between a horse and a donkey (another name for a mule that gets ####'d out): I have spent the last couple years (and still help out)helping to moderate a HUGE board (dealing with Miata's/MX-5's/Eunos Roadsters - NOT karaoke) that has very strict rules. My coming here has been a bit of a culture shock because the rules are not as strict (not that it's a good or bad thing, just different). My experiences there sometimes get the best of me because of the rampant attempts at spamming, cross-posting, un-authorized advertising, flame wars (we nip them quickly), foul language, and a myriad of other issues we have to deal with that's only compounded in a high post volume environment (We have forums where threads get pushed to page 2 within 24 hours).

I sometimes forget that the posting atmosphere here is far more laid back and less restrictive regarding 'netiquette' - especially when I get on a 'roll'.

As a side note, if I've offended anyone else recently with my extreme sarcasm or overly opinionated posts I am indeed sorry. I've been sick and tired of being sick and tired and it's shown up in a few of my posts.

Again, my most sincere apology for offending you and I hope to get a chance to listen to your submissions soon.
