Hey Kmeister, Does 2nd day air mean 2 years? doesn't one day and night take 12 months up there? JK.

Its amazing that my ATT+T wireless phone plan includes Hawaii and Alaska as local.

C'mon U.P.S., Fedex, Etc..... Give the eskimos a break.

All in jest Kmeister. Maybe in the future things will change. Best of luck, BJC

Nope - in most cities (at least most of the time in Fairbanks) 2 Day means 3 Day (or more). Next Day is usually 2 Day. Exception to this would be Anchorage and Juneau. Post office gets it closer than most of the other carriers though...

Just frustrating is all.... had a friend that every time he put up an auction on eBay he's pick a state from a list of people that wouldn't ship to Alaska and say 'Will ship anywhere in the US except <state>'. Used to love reading the questions about why.... his reply was always the same - "XX company refuses to ship to Alaska at any cost so I am returning the favor and refusing to ship to STATE in return. If you don't like my business practices feel free to contact XX company and have them change their practice.' It was hilarious.

And we get daylight every day here in Anchorage - down to about 4 hours in December, but it gets light.

I know... all in jest. Lots of karaoke up here - we're exceptionally bored so we go out and sing to abuse our friends.

Karaoke.com, one of the advertisers here has been good for me. If I order before 2:00pm it's at the house the next day. (but then I live just down the road from them) :D

Well, three weeks later, I FINALLY recieved my last (and I do mean LAST) order from a certain unnamed on-line Karaoke CD source whose name happens to mention a certain something celestial. So Neverheardofher, you gotta come over so we can work on that duet ~ maybe we WILL get rich! Thanks for all the great posts on my question.

The best Ive found so far... Sound Choice and Chartbuster. Just try to stay with a few brands to avoid repeats.
Ive heard alot of bad about Sweet Georgia Brown, But I actually like there classic rock stuff. The pop is pretty poor Ill admit.

I thought I'd mention that Priddis is now carried in some larger retailers. I've had good luck so far with Karaoke Bay discs which I've gotten at Fred Meyer and Wal-Mart.

BTW, SoundChoice dropped the prices on their stuff recently.
