Just an aside, to this topic...Guys and Gals...due to the influx of new singers on the showcase, please make sure you check your subs for new comments...EVEN WHEN YOUR SUB HAS GONE TO PAGE 2 !!!!! as, I am finding that after a few hours away I have to start on page 2 to keep up my listening pleasure! AND I"M LEAVING COMMENTS! I really don't want to take the time to comment if you arent at least going to say thank you Just my 2 cents

Ditto to that Emma. I have gone as far as writing the following to people who do not have the decency to say a simple thank you!

[Singers Name], you’re a fine vocalist and like everyone else here, are appreciated. It is though common courtesy to reply to people’s comments, and also to listen and comment on other people’s subs. Please share the great community we have here. If you have time to post your subs, you have time to browse and comment on other people’s subs.

And I will write that to anyone who has the tendency not to show common courtesy!

reading this i think it really all boils down to time, and time is so short with life on singer showcase, a day can go like a minute here.
somedays if i get home late from work and see like i have got 16 coments, i find it hard to say thank-you in so many different ways, once i tried just to put ty ty ty ty ty on everybodys coment they gave me, but to me it just didnt look right, especially when i wanted to reply a little more to some of them than others,
theres nothing i like more than getting home from work and reading a coment on my sub, i get a real buzz that someone has actually listened to it, even on the views for those dont bother to coment, i still get a buzz knowing that somebody has actually taken the time to listen.
BUT...
sometimes when time is short, I find it much easier to return the compliment, by having a listen to a sub that someone has comented on mine, and leave them a comment, otherwise, by the time i have recorded a song, edited it, uploaded it, listened to a few subs, theres really not much time left to do much else, some of us do have jobs to attend to, and busy home lifes as well, I really dont mean to sound ungrateful if i dont leave you a thank-you reply on some of my post, i do get there in the end, its just that time can always get the best of me,
theres only one other thing that really makes my mind wonder, and that where do you guys get all the time to post in the forum, you guys can have conversations going on for days,lol then you record, post coment, it really amazes me how much time people have on this site,
so please lets not get into a bashing over thank-you's or where was you on my reply ?? its bad enough ranting and raving about the ratings ask allstar he can get really stressed somedays over a 9
I am very sorry if i have offended anybody in not replying to a comment, i will try to make even more time in future to say thanks, but i do get there in the end replying as i am, im just a little slow catching up thats all,
lets not stress over all this rating as well, its not like were singing for the town clock or anything, it really is all just for fun surley

I know there are quite a few people who contribute so much yet have so little time to get online... I know dumbdrums is one of them! So just know that some people have there heart in the right place... but no access to be here with us very often... I'm off to my parents for the weekend... and I'll be fighting with my sister for the 'puter! Sooo... I'll hollar atcha when I can!!! Have a great weekend everyone!!! :wink:

menephes1 - I don't think that was meant to say that you have to reply to everyone's comments. But if you wish to have your submission commented on - please do the same to others.

That I think is a good policy. If someone comments on one of your submissions, at least comment on one of theirs.

See, I have commented on some people not everyone, gee - I really am sorry, but I haven't even submitted yet. (I'm banking those for later - )

AllStar - Who me, I'm never sarcastic But really I did think that was a nice idea. Even though you stole it from me, I think?

Also, I know not everyone can spend as much time on the site as I do. Good Lawd could you imagine that!? Further it isn't expected - at least I hope that it isn't. I think everyone just likes to see that people are commenting & listening.

I personally want to make 2 statements here. First of all, Menephes1 is not guilty in this case. He has always been very responsive to all subs, and replying to comments. I put out my little statement (Phil, we'll have to discuss ownership of this over a beer) to some members that pretty much sub a lot and never reply. Also, I have only done it 2 or 3 times, and there has been a change from those people, which is something I really appreciate.

Secondly, I want to apologze openly to Miss Milo for attacking here in this topic. She did not deserve that! Please accept my apology as such. I treated you unfair for no reason.

Lastly, I totally agree with Sheraokee's statement!

i'll add my 2 cents as well. i've been meaning in some way to find a way to thank everyone for the great comments and encouragement that i've received from so many of you and to apologize for not having time to return the favor as i'd like to. i've fallen terribly behind lately in being able to listen to a great many people's subs, which i consider to be my loss. i certainly value a number of friendships that i have here with alot of very talented people, and i hope that you will all understand that work and personal demands just haven't allowed me to enjoy all of the great subs that have been posted. i couldn't agree more w/ phil that you should certainly return the favor of listening to someone else's sub if they've been good enough to stop by and comment on yours. i'm sorry that i'm a guilty party.
