please do a search on this area... lots of prev. discussions on copying cdgs... you need specific hardware and software. Nero won't do it.

1. Buy a Plextor CDR or DVDR burner, or any burner capable of reading and writing CDGs. Then use CDRWIN to extract the tracks as CDG and burn them.
2. Microstudio is also another good cdg recording option.

Nero 6 Ultra Edition worked for me. Made my first disc yesterday and used it last night. No instructions on how to burn CD-G with the software, had to go on Nero's website and search for how to set it up.

This is how I did it using Nero 6
With Nero 6 Burning ROM you can copy a CD+G CD this way:
Open Nero Burning ROM.
Select "CD Copy".
Go to the tab "Read Options" in the "New Compilation" window.
Select the "Karaoke" profile in the menu "Fast Copy Settings".
Make sure that the option "Read All Subchannel Data" is checked.
Go on with the burn process.
Important Note
Nero Express does not support this feature.

Alcohol 120% also copies cdg's & it also supports more drives than Micro & CDRWIN.
There is in fact a lot more cdg drive compatible because of the DAO 96 method wich most new drives are now capable!
Just an ASUS CD-Rom at $25,00 will read & extract the cdg with the coreect software!

I went into the Nero Burning Rom, CD copy, Read options, change pull down to Karaoke CD. You can only copy from one CD to another. I haven't figured out how to copy to hard drive. Hope this helps. If not, maybe your burner is not capable of burning the graphics.

How about copying a superCDG from Cavs? or can I atleast extract the songs on to my hard drive then pick and choose? I feel bound to this cavs unit due to just one disk with 388 songs that are in my books.

I know the lil bugger will do it. I checked the drive capabilities & it even has CD+G capabilites in the list. I have a tech that works on our computers at work. I pinned him down a few mins yesterday. & he gave me some quick advice, most of which I shouldve written down. He feels confident that I can do it. Geez my computer should do everything, I work in an advertising/production company. We do radio & tv commercials, I'm sure I am just wee ta did. I will bake the tech guy some cookies or something & make him sit down with me to figger it out. Thanks for your help.

Check with cavs. There is a way to convert down, but you ahve to use THEIR program to do it.
