With all the talk about the KJ Media Pro HD with 11,000 Chartbuster songs I tried to find a listing of all their songs. I see all their box sets when I go to the website and even when I type in artists or song names I get whatever the box set they are on.....but I can't find a list of all their songs. So, is there a listing of all CB songs that I can review to see if this is something worthwhile for the price?

What makes it worthwhile is you don't have to have all of their songs especially if you already have a version that you like of said song. To be able to say "i'll check to see if it is available" instead of "No I don't have it but I'll see if I can get it after the show." when someone asks you for a song not in your book. If it is in Chartbuster's catalog then all you do is use one of your credits you bought just so you could unlock a song like that for use right then and there.

Absolutely! CompuHost offers the ability to export a listing in the industry standard CSV (Comma Separated Values) format. The CSV format is compatible with most spreadsheet applications, as well as FastTracks V2 SongBook Creator (Sold separately)
But I was unable to find a list their or on CB's site.

Just look at it this way, you will have access to all the newest song tracks they produce with updates so the list will be ever changing.

That's interesting.... all 11k huh? Does it include ANY of these songs; travelin' soldier Gunpowder and Lead Why Haven't I Heard From You Shut Up And Drive Poor Me Hole in my Head Just another woman in love Lesson in Goodbye Anything but Mine Or any of the other NINETY TWO (92) songs that they were sued for in 2009 (and completed in May 2010 - ONE YEAR AGO) and received not only a judgment against them for $101,000.00 PLUS attorney fees ($3,000.00). The judgment was a default judgment... apparently, CB didn't bother to respond to the suit.... Here's a copy: http://dkusa.com/CHB/BluewaterCB.pdfThe last action was recorded by the clerk:Quote: ORDER: For the reasons set forth within this order, Plaintiff's Second Motion for Default Judgment [12] is Granted. Plaintiff is Awarded $101,000.00 in damages against the Defendant for copyright infringement of the 101 songs at issue. Further, Defendant is Permanently Enjoined from manufacturing, distributing, marketing, offering, selling, disposing of, licensing, leasing, transferring, displaying, advertising or reproducing any works derived from or copies from Plaintiff's copyrighted compositions. Finally, Plaintiff is Awarded its attorney's fees in an amount to be determined in accordance with Local Rule 54.01(b). Signed by District Judge William J. Haynes, Jr on 4/7/10. (dt) It's interesting to note that since 1989, Chartbuster has been in court 24 times: ONCE as a Plaintiff
THREE TIMES as a "third party defendant"
TWENTY TIMES as a defendant.Almost all the suits against them have been for copyright infringement (pirating).

I don't know when they added it, or it may have been missed earlier, but it's there now. There's a link to the catalog on the KJ Media Pro page on Karaokeware.com http://www.karaokeware.com/kjmprohd.html

Spotchecking the list, these songs do NOT appear on it:
Travelin' Soldier Gunpowder & Lead Why Haven't I Heard From You Poor Me Hole In My Head Anything but mine Just another woman in love Lesson in Goodbye
So you'll have to buy them (and most likely lots of others) from another source.

I noticed that Gunpowder & Lead was not on my KJMP drive...went and looked on the Chartbuster site and that track is now missing from their lisitings for all their releases that included it.

If you want to do books with the GEM series, Music Book Deluxe has it in their database. They even have a decent renamer program to rename you files.

How would you suggest they add them to FastTracks? CH allows you to export a current Media Pro listing directly from CH, formatted to import directly into FT. I think they did their job! The GEM series, just maybe they haven't gotten the information from SC?

If you are going to promote a product that claims to have up-to-date listings, and charge a subscription for those listings, I would think that the two largest products from the two biggest manufactures would be a no brainer. Excel spreadsheets of the entire GEM series have been publicly available for almost a year now.

If CB needed to delete a song due to licensing, are they going to rely on the honor system for kj's to NOT unlock that particular song?

If you purchase a hard drive from Chartbuster in 2011, the court order and judgment against them from May 2010 prevents them from selling AND/OR distributing any of the 101 songs listed in the complaint, no matter what the form is. So theorectically, the song(s) shouldn't be on the hard drive at all.

That would be kind of difficult, as neither CB no any other karaoke producer will release a list of unlicensed songs that they have produced and sold.

You either OWN the discs included with the different GEM series, or NOT! With Kj Media Pro, the selections are AVAILABLE to you, you don't own them until you selectively purchase each one. So what good would a listing in FT do, are you going to OWN all 11,000+ songs? If KJ Media Pro was a fixed selection such as the GEM series, or for that matter ANY CDROM based collection, then yes, they could, and should be available in FT. But this is NOT the case.

You've already stated that after checking the list yourself, you're unable to find the songs eluded to in the judgement. So no, they're NOT "included anyways". Here we go again, another legal topic...

Possibly while downloading New Releases, or updating credits?
