NYC Song - John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band (Eddie & The Cruisers II)
Sweet Painted Lady - Elton John
Shipmates and Cheyenne - John Denver

I'll think of some others, but these three weigh havy on my mind lately.

This is real obscure, and I don't know the title; maybe someone with better eyes can figure it out...
In the movie, Flashback," with Kiefer Sutherland and Dennis Hopper, there's a scene where they are watching home movies of Sutherland as a boy, circa 1969. There's a beautiful song that accompanied the scene, but the credits are so small, i can't make out the title or artist (lets all run down to Blockbuster!) That would be a pretty song for karaoke.

ABBA - Move On

Christina Aguilera - I'm Okay

Those are definately either going to be real hard to find, or they are never going to be made (which sucks!)

Robin Trower - Hold Me
Robin Trower - Too rollin' Stoned
Robin Trower - I can't wait Much Longer
Robin Trower - Little Girl
Robin Trower - For Earth Below
Robin Trower - Daydream
Robin Trower - Little bit of Sympathy
Robin Trower - Fly Low
Robin Trower - Messin' The Blues
Robin Trower - Caladonia
OR ANYTHING ELSE BY ROBIN TROWER
I've written to pretty much every disk company requesting his stuff , but it seems that they think that I alone won't spend enough on his stuff to make it worth their while hehe. Can you tell I'm a Trower fan? he's been my favorite recording artist of all time since the mid "70"'s I still listen to his stuff EVERY DAY !...gimme' summ Trower allready ! ...arrrrggggghhhhh P.S. I know that a few of his songs are on cdg (and I have them),but they're pretty butchered up...except for Sweet Wine Of Love,on Dangerous. It's a GREAT wedding song , I've sung it at a couple receptions in the past.

There is a program that allows you to take ANY song and make it into a playable karaoke track. I had a dude come by my gig with a disc made from this software. I must admit it was mind blowing and VERY tempting. I looked up the internet address and it seemed legit......yeah right. Anything this great has to be illegal.............

I will probably be shot for this one, but here goes:
I think some ethereal pieces would add a unique folksy flavor to karaoke. And the artists I have in mind are:

1. Loreena McKennet (she has done things other than the Mummer's Dance)

2. I would also like to see more things available from Enya

3. More things from big band (i.e. done in the 1920's, 1930's, or 1940's)--- i.e. Glen Miller, Artie Shaw, etc.

Just my $.02 worth.

Rick Springfield! I think many of his "hits" are terrific, and would make some fantastic karaoke songs.

Also, I'm a huge Queensryche fan.
"Anybody Listening"
"Bridge"
and tons of others. SC made a half n half disc with them, and it filled a lot of holes... wish they'd go for more of the ballads that QR is famous for!

George Strait's - Never Gonna Let You Go. It was 'our song' and we managed to get the band to learn and play it for our wedding. Would LOVE to try and sing it for her.
