In case you are looking for THE best key changer for your recordings, I would like to suggest the EAX Console that comes with the purchase of the new SB Audigy2 ZS!! :D

If you wish to listen to the results, all you need to do is listen to my last sub September Morn, it's at -1!!

Believe me, it's THE best tool out there with out quivering, glitch or any of that crap!

I often need to lower at -1 and no one ever noticed because of this great key changer.

Just a free advice

Have Fun!!

Hey, I have EAX counsole. I will try it THANKS!!!

But what do I do to get my mp3+g to show the words??? Can you change key of song playing in winamp with EAX???? that would be really cool.

I will compare my current winamp plugin (name I forget) to EAX.

You can change the key of any song you like with EAX, whether its playing through winamp, CEP, mediaplayer or whatever.... even the EAX on the basic sb live (which I had until it recently broke) but I know its even better with the newer cards - I've played around with the EAX on Buttrfligyrl's system and its convinced me to upgrade ;)

The old EAX version allowed to work with any software but not the latest version call EAX Console, it will only work with the Creative Media Source that comes with the Audigy2 cards.

Day & night the difference between the two!!

No, you will need to play your audio file thru the Creative Media Source player & it doesn't read the graphic from the mp3+g file but you can record the session & save it so this way you will always have the audio file to your key!

By the way, if you wish to have a key changer for Winamp, you might want to download a plug in from their website? It's free and I believe it's
call pacemark?? Not as good but it will do a fine job for live performance.

I have Winamp but I just can't stand the sound quality, they use a low end audio engine so therefore I use Karawin which is able to play ALL format, able to record from the line in (Microphone) in sync with audio track and it uses THE best audio engine call Bass Audio and the best of it is that it's free except for the Midi portion which is Shareware!!

Cool! Thanks so much Micky and Atomic.

I've been using Pacemaker for live stuff, and to sing vocal tracks. I'm using Audacity to change the key of the backing track, after import. I'll need to get some feedback on how the key changed track sounds (I think I used this method on 'Put Yourself In my Shoes' though the vocal recording is so bad...it might distract.
