How about:

Gender Bender? Got the idea from a thread elsewhere on here, but it would be an interesting week.

Comedy? Doing the Ray Stevens song in the showcase got me warmed up for this one....

Parody? Seems we have a little run of that going on now. Could be a Weird Al tune or something with unique lyrics (like we've seen recently).

Maybe a soundtrack week? Where you have to do a song from a soundtrack in a movie that wasn't brought over from Broadway (or vice versa) - ie non-Broadway/non-showtunes?

What about the 'I should never have recorded this'? All the stuff that we're terrible with? We could vote for the worst song of the week? I'd do 'One Night in Bangkok' again and win... (shudder).... :puke:

Just some thoughts... Since Luly did a hip hop tune recently (sort of  ) I think I'd like to abuse, er, amuse myself with trying one! :D

Give me some time I'm sure I can think of other things to do...

And uh, YES, you vote does count... I think I was the swing vote last week!

I just don't think I'll be able to find 'Mass of Notre Dame" on a Sound Choice disc!

Most of the classical music I'm aware of didn't have lyrics. And those that do would be rough w/o a karaoke disc for me to use.

Unless you mean classic rock in which case I'm in! :D

R&B is my choice! I find it a very sexy type of music, and yes, I know I'm twisted!

Yes, they are out there. I have a pretty extensive library (although the majority is soprano and mezzo-soprano). So, for the guys, I can probably dig up bass and baritone CD+Gs. The biggest distrutor I have found is Music Minus One (the sister company of Pocket Songs).

If anyone has a specific request, I'll see what I can do for finding it. And as for "Mass of Notre Dame", I'm not sure if I can find it, but I'll look into it. :D

I heard something on the radio a while back that sounds like it could make a fun theme week.

How about singing any song you like but it has to be in a certain type of style/genre that the song wasn't originally meant to be sung in (the style/genre to be determined by poll, or whatever, at the time of the theme week announcement). To give you an idea of what I mean, someone could sing "America the Beautiful" in the style of a Gregorian Chant (if Gregorian Chant were the theme week), or "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" in the style of hip-hop (if Hip-hop were the theme) or "Wind Beneath My Wings" in the style of Metal (if Metal were the theme) or "The Roof is on Fire" in the style of opera (if Opera were the theme). Get the idea??? It could be a real blast! (IMHO)
