They are about ready to stop and check "suspisious" people now in AZ. So guess we are not too far from that.

If I the customer can find other companies that dont subject their customers to lawsuits and "audits"... Why would you object to me choosing those other companies?

In some cases we do not have a choice, but when it comes to purchasing Karaoke discs we still do.

I admit that I think SC tracks are great, but to ME... it is not currently worth the possible "inconvenience".

That pretty much sums it up for me!

Instead of posting your spin on what Kurt is talking about, could you kindly link to the posts that Kurt has made so people can see EXACTLY what he says?

Wall, AKA InsaneKJ - previously booted from this forum for trolling- My statement, as you KNOW, was from info given on another forum where you troll.

WOS, you're an idiot.

I guess there are several people who see the fallacy with your thinking and the provocative nature of your posts. I imagine that it is out of sheer frustration with you that some have resorted to personally attacking you?

You can't seem to understand a simple fact: Honest people don't necessarily act like sheep as you have stated you are willing to behave if accused by SC. And honest people don't take lightly to having their time intruded upon, or being falsely accused (by a supplier), or having their businesses practices incorrectly impugned and their business' name maligned.

I make most of my real money doings Weddings, Bar Mitzvahs, Quinceaneras and similar private parties, events having nothing to do with karaoke. If someone googles my name, I would derive no benefit from having a frivolous and unfounded lawsuit show up in association with my name!

You don't have to agree with those who have problems with SC , but you DO HAVE to respect those who don't buy into your "if you have nothing to hide" crap!

By that same token, there is no shortage of people calling those who disagree with THEIR pont of view schills, not capable of thinking for themselves or labelling their opinions as "c--p." I don't agree with it coming from either direction.

NO.... Sorry, it's not "the same token". The phrase "if you have nothing to hide" implies that you DO HAVE SOMETHING TO HIDE IF YOU DISAGREE. And if that isn't a clear enough reason for those of us who have had with WOS and the likes, than nothing I can say will make it any clearer!

Hmmm.
Your inference does not make the above statement inaccurate though.
Does it.

"if you have nothing to hide" implies that you DO HAVE SOMETHING TO HIDE IF YOU DISAGREE.

Maybe it's a culture thing.
Over here if you have nothing to hide often means
you have nothing to worry about.

Shows how different areas translate things.

The intent of my post was to say that there has been name calling, innuendo and disrespect of other's opinions coming from ALL sides and we probably aren't advancing the argument when we do that.

Yes, it does! It makes it inaccurate in so far as they are not "by the same token" When party #1 suggests he has nothing to hide", he is implying that party #2 does have something to hide ( READ AS: engages in the criminal act of piracy) And when party #2 responds with the suggestion that party #1 can't think for himself, the two accusations are not equivalent in nature. They are not!

And perhaps if the day ever comes that the shills and their ilk stop suggesting that those who disagree with them have something to hide we will have reached the day when the use of personal descriptions in this debate will cease? And again, being subtle about it and using the phrase I have nothing to hide doesn't change the characterization that one person is depicting of another through implication and/or innuendo!

And if those of us who disagree with "those who have nothing to hide" simply stated in response that we have nothing to hide, how would that statement be received? It would be received with the admonition ---- "so, what are you complaining about? Just agree to SC demands (as Athena did) and prove you have nothing to hide"

And then..... here we go again..... back to the top!!!! I have nothing to hide

Tov, you appear a little paranoid.
I am worried that you may be over excited.
Please try and calm down.

You can play with words all night long if you want to
really, you're a big boy and you can do that.
Have you got any brandy. That might help.

I do not feel I have the right to try and tell others what to think.
Do you think that is one of my weaknesses.?

What Athena didn't mention here but put forth on the other forum is that NONE of the 5 shows that disappeared were named by SC for anything. They are just gone....

Argument with venue owner?

Wasn't bringing in enough to justify being there?

The host sucked and Athena runs a good show?

Found better venue elsewhere?

Retired?

Nothing to do with SC????

I thought I was just purchasing Karaoke discs. It seems, however, now they have come with invisible strings.

No thank you.

Thanks for wondering out loud. I have also wondered about this same since I first ran into this assertion on another forum.

I haven't pressed the matter because I was paranoid that Jerry12x would claim that I was being paranoid. And who can withstand such scrutiny from Jerry12x?

No rain here. I didn't save the receipts for anything but tax purposes, but do have every one for every year.
