It appears that some KJ's have regular crowds while others mostly cater to tourists/transients during certain seasons. And then there are all the other possible alternatives in between.

For those who have a regular returning crowd do you believe that your average singer:

1) practices each song he sings Yes___ No_____
2) sings the same material over and over Yes____ No_____
3) adds new material regularly Yes_____ No____
4) is concerned about the caliber of sound equipment you use Yes____ No______
4) realizes the caliber of sound equipment you use Yes____ No______

Interesting that I put No to the 4's and a yes to 6.

Reading this forum has taught me that I pay more money for a better sound

Just for me. Sad but true.

1 - Some have discs they bring & do say they practice at home
2 - Most do sing the same stuff over, and will add an occasional new song
3 - Occasionally
4 - Many have asked about the equipment & mics used. Especially musicians that come in regularaly
5 - All want to have fun
6 - Everyone has stated at some point, make sure I sound my best (which is still all dependant on their own singing)
7 - I do have some regulars that go in for Happy Hour that stay through the night and sing, have others that just love being there - sometimes sing, sometimes not but I believe they would still come in if there was no karaoke. Others come in specifically to sing.

of course it is hard to find an individual singer who is average for everything....

1) My serious singers practice. Many others just put in a fun song, so no for them!!
2) Most of my regular singers, yes. I have a few that have huge stacks of slips they pull from ( I save their slips for them. ) I have one singer that I don't even save his slips because he rarely does a song over once or twice.

I have such an unusual venue, it's hard to answer these, because many of them are split possibly equally. We have regular locals and then so many tourists. I answered based on my regulars.

THis is based on my venue, not hubby's. His answers would be totally different - younger crowd, bigger, etc.

What is interesting about this poll is how it has changed over the years. I will give 2 results.
