They are illegial unless you have proof of lisensure or rights to use those songs in that manner, from the music publisher through ASCAP or BMI or SESAC.. That can be obtained through the Harry Fox Agency in New York, NY.
Good luck.

Are these karaoke tracks are your own original music or are these just tracks that you have converted from regular cd's? If they are your own music, then she has no basis on why she can't play them. There are some clubs down here as well that don't play burns at all that aren't legal compilations.
You are up in Auburn, i'm in Tacoma.

dude, if you ripped the audio off of the original audio cd (not a karaoke CD), and used dart to remove the vocals, you wasted a lot of time.... should just buy the song from a karaoke shop...
I personally have a set of like 5 CD's that i carry with me when i go out, they are compiled from the original CDG's I own... why??? so i can hand in 1 disc to the host and have all my songs i will do that night in at one time.... now when i host, those CD's are no where to be found, i have them in my music case... i learned early on, that removing any CD from my working case for personal use would result in it probably not being there when i was working a show and looking for it
When i host i have no problem playing a burnt CD

BTW: the one song i ever did in Dart did not play on my JVC unless i made it a track after 1, had to cue up track 2 and shuttle back into the prior track and let it play, then my graphics came up

depends on what you're looking for.
SC is basically the best, but there are usually high costs involved in that.
You most likely get what you pay for.
What songs are you looking for?
Go to kjpro.com and do a search!
