Kind of boxy, muddy with a little tin to their sound. A friend of mine bought some, then returned them the next day.

I have not. I always stick with name brands when buying equipment, usually if a deal sounds too good to be true, it isn't a good deal 4-U.

Just bought a floor monitor from them to try out.. I will let you know what I think after I hook them up to my gig rig Wed. night...
Impressive looking cabinet...
My Rig consists of Peavey PV2000 to my Peavey sp1G Mains, PV1200 to my Monitors (currently Peavey, soon to be adding the madison), Behringer 1804MX Euromixer, Behringer Feedback Destroyer, Behringer Ultramizer 3200..... I run three KJ/DJ shows a week with this gear...
I like what I've seen so far from Madison.. If I like the Floor monitor I may give their 2153 PA Speakers a shot...

I bought a mixer from them on e-bay, never could get everything to work right. When I called they said they would have UPS pick it up and return it to them for repair, before I got home UPS was knocking on the door to pick it up. They never could fix it (crack in the printed circuit board) they refunded all money(including shipping) and sent me a pair of speakers for my troubles. They are nothing fancy, 10" with a tweeter, but I've been using them on top of my 15" Kustom cabinets. I was very impressed with their customer service and those small speakers have been kicking every weekend since. BTW check steelsound.com same people.

Madison don't make mixers, unless it was a limited time prototype. They make speakers & 2 amps.

He's probably referring to the Legion Sounds mixers that steelsound sells on their website along with the Madison and Legion brand speakers.
Cheers

You're both right... I think it was a prototype for some of the ones they're selling now. Anyway, I can't complain about the customer service.

Have to admit... The Madison Floor Monitor is pretty decent.. I don't like the jackplate on it.. It's cheap and seems flimsy... But I will tell you after a month of abuse, it's holding pretty decent and I am probably overpowering it.. Nice Punchy woofer in it, pretty clean high end.. Haven't bought any mains from them yet, but I might give em a try on a new party system I'm building...
