Okay Sammy
I interested in purchasing the new Vocopro cdg8000pro dual cd player. Has anyone in this forum used this product and if they have what are the pros and cons on it?? Any help would be appreciated!!

First off it's overpriced. It garbles graphics. Not very durable. Crappy customer service.

You're better off with the Pioneer v10 twin tray.

Buy a jvc triple tray you cant go wrong.

I'll second that on the triple tray. Nice piece of equipment.

If you are looking for that style of professional player and do not want to consider a JVC or Pioneer, your next best bet would be to buy a professional DJ dual CD player with a digital optical output and hook up a CDG decoder to decipher the graphics. And yes, its true, the VocoPro does garble graphics sometimes. Considering the price of the 8000 dual player, it is not your best option.

Just my opinion.

The JVC/RSQ single & triple tray along with the Pioneer twin tray are all designed for commercial use. 2 JVC single tray players work fine if needing to dj as well. If dj is your main thing, then yes, you may want to find a more dj oriented player.

That 8000 has some problems and ... even the JVC (as I've heard) has issues playing some of the "Custom" CDG's.

I use the Pioneer Twin Tray 10G,

If I wanted to go to a dual side by side- I'd look at the Pioneer 500G, Full DJ and great dependability

I just got an RSQ 505 and the digital key change stinks! Even going up or down one half step places all kind of noise and artifacts on the track. I am thinking of returning it.

I've never had a problem with the RSQ when it comes to digital key changes!!

I had the vocopro 8000, used it 6 months, and sold it. it was possibly the worst purchase I ever made. It went black on me a couple of times from overheating on 1 deck, I sold it and it lasted the new guy a month. he was hot. but I told him when I sold it to him it was a piece of junk and sold it cheeep.

Okay, that pretty much answers my question!!! I already have the JVC triple tray but what I was looking to do is to cut the gap between singers. I hate waiting for the graphics to load and play through, to me it just takes to long. I want to have the next song qued up and ready to go when the next singer is ready. My problem is I don't have enough inputs on my mixer--I already have two dual cd players--dj'ing is my first priority!! I'll probably just add another JVC and lose one channel on my backup cd player!!!

Or you could combine the left & right inputs on both karaoke players & basically run them mono. For karaoke, stereo isn't as critical as it is for dj.

Or you could use an A/B switch for the karaoke.

Either way, whenever a customer is approaching, THAT's when I press the play button, unless I know for a fact that the song starts IMMEDIATELY.

Many of the Pioneer cdgs waited 25-35 seconds!! OMG! Others took off right away! So when I press play, I have my hand on the pause button!

Yea, I could run two through my vocopro da1050, but that still wouldn't give me the opportunity to cue up the second machine. I actually need three channels, 2 for the machines and 1 for the da1050, or I could save a channel and get a mic mixer with xlr and plug in directly to the mic inputs. I don't know, I'll figure something out.

My personal system has been cut back JUST to the dual 505's.. I haven't done a show with the V-888's in 1 1/2 months. I have almost forgetten what a lazer disc looks like.. NOT! System #8 is that nice of a unit to where I don't need the lazers anymore to run my shows. and the key control does what I need it to.
