Thanks for all the support and patience with me so far on this project everyone.
I did go ahead and purchase Compuhost the other day since it seemed like it might be easier without the need for all the extra plug ins etc.. It does seem to be rather user friendly even for me. The problem I am having tonight after installing the program ,and trying to rip my first CDG is an error message. It reads <Error:The selected drive does not appear to read CDG subchannel data>.Unless someone can tell me different (I hope) ,I assume the new DVD burner /reader is not CDG compatible.It is a Memorex ,MRX-530L if thats any help to anyone.Again ,I should have read the threads on this topic beforehand but....maybe there is another route short of replacing the drive again.

don't mean to hijack your thread but I've been looking around for karaoke software for awhile, I stumbled into this. I haven't personally tried it yet but family members have and they absolutely love it.

I'm not sure what format your songs are in but all of ours are ripped straight from a DVD into VOB files.

I personally prefer CompuHost over all the others for the features it contains. I know that Hoster is supposed to add some of the features that CompuHost has but haven't check recently to see if it works well.
