Wednesday was the last night I sung.  Kind of slow to start so got a few in.
Margaritaville - Jimmy Buffet (request)
You Can't Stop Love - Marty Stuart (gasp COUNTRY for Lonman? lol - request)
My Own Prison - Creed
Alive & Kickin - Simple Minds
Simple Man - Lynyrd Skynyrd (request)

Then around 10:15-10:30 my rotation grew from 4 to 18 within 10 minutes & didn't sing anymore that night.

Last night (Thurs Memorial weekend): "Walk This Way" - old Aerosmith version. First round. That was it. Huge night.

It was raining. Still is. It's going to be a busy weekend.

Off topic so I apologize in advance, Morgan I was watching the HD music channel one night and they had a tribute concert or something, can't quite remember.....any way Gretchen Wilson covered a Heart song. Man o man can that woman sing, I mean she has a really strong voice and you can tell she grew up listening to Heart.

On the other hand Fergie has been covering Barracuda by Heart, and isn't exactly doing it justice. OK, it sucks! Hijack over, please go back to your original topic. Rudy.

Oh and by the way Thursday night I sang:

Day after Day.....Badfinger ( my mom asked me to learn it, she still hasn't heard me do it )

Comfortably Numb......Pink Floyd
Angel of Harlem......U2
November Rain........G n R
The Promise.......When in Rome ( by request )
Vasoline......Stone Temple Pilots ( fairly new from Sunfly, not a bad version )

Was a slow at first but picked up around 1115, and ended up being a decent night. Rudy.

Which song did Gretchen Wilson cover?  I actually like Fergie's remake of "Barracuda", which really surprised me, 'cause for the most part, I don't really like Fergie's music that much.   Her version isn't as good as Heart's version, but it's pretty darn good IMHO.  But there seem to be a lot of differing opinions on it, and that's ok.

NOW we'll go back to our original topic.  Here's what I sang Fri. night.  (* denotes songs I was singing for the first time)

* "Wavelength"-Van Morrison
* "Just Don't Want to Be Lonely"-Main Ingredient
"You Win Again"-Mary Chapin Carpenter
"In the City"-Eagles
* "Rock Me Amadeus"-Falco
"When Will I See You Again'-Three Degrees

"Rock Me Amadeus" was listed as having an "English version" and "German version".  I picked the English version, thinking it was going to be the one with the timeline (telling when Mozart was born and all that).  But there were so many different remixes of that song that I wasn't sure what I was gonna get, so I explained beforehand to the crowd, "I have never heard anyone sing this for karaoke, so I don't know what the karaoke version is like." Well, guess what?  It turned out to be an English version of the German rap version (probably not an exact translation) with lyrics I had NEVER heard before--something like, "He was a superstar, he was a ladies' man...and all the girls screamed, come on rock me Amadeus..." (Have any of you guys actually even heard these lyrics???  _I_ sure hadn't!  I was totally sight-reading it!)   It didn't even have the part that goes "Baby baby do it to me rock me...", but since I like that part, I went ahead and sang it anyway (totally disregarding the nonsense phrases that were on the screen at that point because I wasn't sure how they were supposed to go *g*).

So hey, I had to wing it.  But people seemed to like it pretty well.  (It was from Sound Choice, by the way.)

I went to my local - the owners brother is a KJ (and someone I use for a lot of tecchie help while learning the ropes).  We had a good evening - few drinks (word is I was drinking em like water, but I remember feeling fine).  Seems I was "that duet guy" this night - well, the woman is away and all her mates seem to latch onto me when she's gone - they take care of me cos I miss her.

Anyhow:

Me: Deep Blue Something = Breakfast At Tiffany's
Me: Soul Asylum = Runaway Train
Me: Robbie Williams = Ghosts (my own CDG, as has never been produced)
Me + Partner 1: Elton John + Kiki Dee = Don't Go Breaking My Heart (Hate this song)
Me + Partner 2: John Travolta + Olivia Newton John = Summer Lovin' (Hate this song)

Wasn't the busiest of nights, so got to sing a few :)
