You do know that Gemini is switchable on 8 frequencies -- have you tried others?

Congratulations, you have just come to realise one of the reasons why cellphone use is and should always be banned on commercial aircraft!  If the worst air accident in history was caused by a simple case of radio interference resulting in a misunderstood ATC instruction, then it's not hard to image the effect a spontaneous burst of cellphone interference could do!

Bargin microphones are not a bargin and with the 2009 frequency stuff changing, it probably will only get worse.  

Stay away from the cheap microphones.  You could be wasting good money for nothing.
