I just bought a product from VOCOPRO. It is a DVX-880 PRO Multi-Format Digital Key Control Karaoke DVD/DivX Player. I cant get the mircophones to work and, the karaoke setup is missing from the setup menu. Does anyone know whats wrong!
Also, where will the wire connecting from MIC+Music Out Connection to where behind my Yamaha reciever?
Any advice will be appreciated.

We need a little more information in order to answer your question:
What do you have the player hooked up to for amplification?
If you have the player amplified can you hear the music playing?
If you play the music with mics plugged in can you hear your voice through headphones?
Answers to these will help!

In the manual booklet under setting up freferences I do not have the Karaoke mode on the screen so I can not switch on and off the mic.

In the manual it says you must have your RCA Jacks hooked up to the Mic and Music Outputs located on the far left side (rear) of your unit (when looking at the back)
Do you have this connection correct?

#2 do you have the volume controls turned up?
Please understand that it's usually the simple stuff that ends up being the problem

I don't have the model number for your reciever but usually it is audio in Right/Left.
If you give me the brand and model number of your reciever I can help you.
Also the troubleshooting section of your player says that you must use the remote to access the settings for on/off for the microphone. Press SETUP on the remote to access OSD Preferences. It should be somewhere in that on-screen menu. The manual does not cover this except in the troubleshooting section. Weird.
Give this a try and let me know what happens.

Connect RCA's R/L from the the Mic + Music Outputs on the Vocopro Player
TO: The CD Input R/L Jacks on the Reciever they are on the bottom left in back next to the phono inputs.
Make sure the microphone volume knobs are turned up on the Vocopro unit (they are located near the microphone jacks) Turn them up 1/3 of the way.
Make sure the reciever mode on the Yamaha is set to CD 1 and your volume is up about 1/3
If it does not work after following these instructions you will need to contact the factory or who you purchased them from to obtain help.
One last thing.....If the microphones have a switch on them.....make sure it is to the on position.

Just thought of one other thing. This is a DVD player and you will need to connect the Video as well.
There is a set of inputs on the bottom of the front panel of the Yamaha unit. It has video IN that would be the yellow rca and then 2 audio IN's R/L
You can also try that.
I'm out of bullets in my gun. Anyone else wanna jump in here?
