Ok guys, so I have a bunch of songs that I like to sing and my current DJ does not have them in her library. So what I want to do is bring her a disc with my songs on them. Now I could just bring my original discs but that would be several and I don't want to keep handing her discs thoughout the night.
So what I want to do is get my songs onto a single disc. Currently I have the songs in CD+G format. My question is since im used to playing these in a computer and not on an actual karaoke machine.
Do I have to do something special when I burn them to make sure they will work in her machine? Do I have to use a special program to burn them etc. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
~Lazer

Lazer,
Do you want to create an MP3 Disc or Karaoke Disc?
MP3 Disc:
Do you have: Windows Media Player, Real Player, Nero, Sonic, etc.
Karaoke Disc:
Do you have a Drive that Reads and Writes CDG?
You can use Power Karaoke CDG Burner, Audiograbber, CDRWIN,
MTU, Dart, etc.
If your Drive doesn't Read and Write CDG, MTU has De-interleaving
which means you don't have to purchase a special Drive.
Power Karaoke may offer the same capabilities.
Hope This Helps,

I agree. I wouldn't plug in a drive from anyone for anything. Unless I could take it home and virus scan it first.
That would be a dirty trick to play on someone that you may want to put out of business.. ![yes ](./images/smilies/emot-nod.gif)

Excuse my ignorance, but just to clarify. The Karaoke players read files in .bin format? So I convert my mp3+g or cd+g file to .bin first then burn it as normal?

Lazer,
Asking Questions is how we learn.
First, convert your mp3+g or cd+g to .bin, then you use a converter i.e. cdrwin, Nero, etc... to burn you karaoke disc.
The .bin file is the easiest format to use for the Converter.
This requires a Drive that Reads and Writes CDG.
TIP: Use Power CDG Burner or MTU, they contain De-Interleaving capabilities!
You don't need a special drive!
A regular karaoke player will read the tracks in a cdg format;
which is audio and the lyrics is embedded in subcode on the unused portion of the audio.
THIS SUBCODE is what regular Drives Can't Read. Resulting in music with no lyrics.
A large portion of karaoke is written in compliance with, "THE RED BOOK" from Sony.
You need Bit-Level comphresion so you can make Heads or Tails of it.
Get your feet wet using freeware like.... Audiograbber and MP3+G Toolz.
Then get better results with Power CDG Burner.
Hope This Helps,
sw00000p
