New here, folks. Bought a Vocopro Twister II from Ace Karaoke. Also bought the All Hits Karaoke Maxx Pack. Most of the CD's don't play and the machine registers "er" which I assume means error. I bought another bundle of CD's which seem to work most of the time but I still get errors on those too. What gives here? Is this common that CD's will experience these errors when trying to play them??? I plan on calling Ace and getting their take. Should I blame it on the CD's or the machine???

it's the machine!

Does your pc recognize the subcode? Can you rip those cdgs with your pc's drive, using say Audiograbber or cdrwin?

It's the machine!!! I was able to rip a CDG that wouldn't work on my machine to my computer without any problems. Thanks, I'll be calling Ace now. Let's see how far I get...

ACE won't be the problem... it's VOCOJUNK that's the ultimate problem!

What's funny is the company loses it's mind on those of us that know that they're cruddy machines have problems, and openly talk about it here. The advertizers such as the retailers don't like it when we talk facts about the problems.

Granted, Vocopro has outstanding customer service, because they HAVE to have it, due to the frequent problems of their machines...

You are right on target with everything,Knightshow!  Great service from Vocopro. They e-mailed me the UPS return label today and I'll be shipping the unit off for another one.

heresmike (by the way, welcome to the site!), here's HOPING that you are satisified with what they are asking you to do.

In the meantime, rip away to your computer... and enjoy them on your computer if you want. If you want to hook it up to the twister unit, there are RCA usb connections that you can get from zzounds (http://www.zzounds.com/item--BEHUCA202 )

If a karaoke site only offers one line of karaoke machines...beware.  Why can't they sell anyone elses stuff?  Or why don't they want to?  They must get the stuff given to them and make a huge profit. I am leary of any karaoke site that offers all in one karaoke systems and packages.  They are basically made for home use, barely. If they sound too good to be true, back away as fast as you can.
