So we dont have a clue. They would like us to incorporate polish music in somehow. Where would I find polish karaoke? Or dj music for that matter ? If we take it (the gig) , I think it would be interesting to learn if its celebrated any different than a regular NYE. Anyone ever have anything like this before ? ideas ?

Hi kelley sweetie. If you don't get some good ideas here I would ask them directly what Polish music they are looking for. I don't think most KJs would know unless they are polish themselves.  :D I bet they are looking for a few traditional polish songs that are always played in a party setting. They should be able to tell you what those songs are. That way they can't blaim you for not trying. Do they want them for karaoke or just want you to play polish music on the breaks? If it's for karaoke someone would have to sing the song.

Wow, certainly an interesting request! The only thing I can think of is, if you decide to take the gig, find out if they have records/tapes/CDs of Polish music and see if you can copy that/those to a CD - most KJ/DJs don't carry equipment to play all of those formats. I can't say as I've ever heard anyone sing Polish karaoke but it would probably be pretty interesting.

yeah it would be like asking for Italian music. I would be thinking songs like "That's Amore" and "Viva Italia".
