I have to have a humidifier running non-stop in the winter. Electric baseboard heating.  Weird thing is, I can't tell if headaches are sinuses, or caffeine withdrawal. Whenever the heat goes on, I get headaches even tho I vacuum the baseboards. I've been going heavy on the coffee since I can't get out and walk as much with all the ice... One slip and not good...  So who knows... another ice storm coming this way I think..  If I disappear it's because I'm without power.. always happens..

Well,  As I mentioned, Santa has a 'tude this year.  In fact there's question as to whether or not he'll be allowed in "fly zones" this year.  Last I heard (I promised not to divulge my actual source) he was arrested at Walmart Black Friday in N. Dakota in Bismark for bumping into an elderly woman, spilling the contents of her purse, and after distracting her ripping off the Wii toys and Digital photo frames that were in her cart, and running out've the store without paying.  June this year in fact a neighboring igloo had to call the N. Pole Alaska EMT/Cop/Town Engineer/Mayor (Guy two igloos down) because he was verbally abusive to Mrs Clause.  You might need to make other arrangements for gifts this year.

Oh here,

www.peddlersvillage.com

It is a very beautiful shopping area in Pennsylvania.  It is a bit pricey but really gorgeous to walk around.  My Mom has been there before & said it is just lovely.

YES !!!!!

http://dealnews.com/FAO-Schwarz-Procras ... news_today

Dani,

Does FAO Schwarz still have toys for we bigger kids ?  I thought it wasn't just a toy store for kids.  Thought it had alot of fun science stuff that adults could enjoy too.  Perhaps I'm incorrect.  I used to love walking by that store when in the City and windowshopping

Mr. Kaplan,

That is so weird, seriously!  That link you sent me, I just bought that game for a friend of mine, what a crazy coincidence!

Yes of course it still exists!  That is one of the most amazing toy stores in the world!!!  I can spend hours just playing with all the stuffed toys!  Then you have the cool puzzle section etc...

Wowzers, I hope I never grow up!!   :dancin:  :dancin:

I don't think growing up is in my future. FAO Schwarz IS (or at least was an amazing store).  Since I haven't been to the city in a long time I don't know.  I'd heard stories years back about possible bankruptcy, and I always thought that'd be very sad since I did look forward to going to FAO as a kid...  I hope they have more cool stuff for adults than this online catalog shows.. they used to at least ! I wonder if Viewmaster still has their great site online where you can by retro models, even bakelite 40's and 50's viewmasters very affordably... I like doing "science toys for adults", type searches... some neat stuff comes up like those electricity generators, prizms... even metal gyroscopes.. I'd like to get a good quality gyroscope... Not sure why... just do LOL

Goodness Mr. Kaplan, I had no idea that they still were in circulation!  Wow, I haven't seen one of those since I was a kid, really!

Hey, have you ever been to The Liberty Science Center?  Mr. Kaplan, if you haven't been there yet, you must go!  If you love playing with science related things, this is the place for you!  I go every Summer, I take my niece there.  I think I have way more fun then she does!
