Why do I feel like the only sane person here?

{Shhhhh, don't say that too loud, they'll catch on!}

Oh boy, you folks are surely rubbing off on me!

Work calls, have a great day...

Sweet dreams!

He's my whole world basically, well besides Kevin

Yep, Ringo {Poopie Pants} is my bestess pal ever! We even have our own language, I know it sounds crazy, but hec, this is a *Schizofriendly* thread! When he wants to go for a walk he makes this funny growling sound, *Harrah, Harrah* I swear he even pronounces the *H* sound, it's crazy....

OK, getting ready for bed check list

1-  Move dust bunnies and check for Boogie Man staking out
2-  Check closet for boogie man, and serial killers
3- Check behind massage chair for people that might want to stab me in my sleep
5-  Make sure all sliding windows are locked for safety.
6-  Turn on motion detector in dining room
7-  lock bedroom door and push dresser, night tables, and guitars against it so
have time to wake up and run out the bedroom windown before they get me
8- Get ear plugs ready so I can't hear poltergeists slamming kitchen cabinet doors
9- Eye pads so I can't see white swirly ghosts.. in the twilight lit room
10- Turn on bedroom light to brighten up lighting conditions so room is no longer
     Twilight lit
11- Move guitars, night tables, and dresser from door because I have to pee..
12- Catching second wind... heads to KS..

Okay, this sounds almost identical to my *To Do* list before bed, seriously!  You forgot....

13- Check the huge closet at the end of the hall to make sure no one is waiting to tackle you as you walk by to get a late-night snack!

Once you go thru the necessary checklist and lock and block off the bedroom door you NEVER leave the bedroom until daylight, that's VERY dangerous. You must have your snacks first... but NEVER EVER leave the bedroom!!! They could be virtually anywhere.. and where you don't check... That's usually where it happens

Personally, love that develops between an owner and their pet IMHO is about as close to "unconditional" love as love can be...JMO

I think the fact that you can honestly "unmask" with your pet, really contributes to that. I mean beyond the normal stuff we worry about, it's interesting how an animal can sense even the slightest shift in your mood and adapt to it. So often before you are even aware of a disturbance in the force.

I was blacking out with my suicide headaches and never knew it until I got Kodi. And the funny thing was, he knew how to rouse me without frightening me.

It's funny how animals seem to "get" what humans fail to or don't even bother trying to.

I was thinking of getting a dog, but what type of pet could tolerate an owner that sits on his a$$ all day typing leading a dogs life ?  Animal would go crazy, and die of boredom.

If you get an older dog, you may find that it will conform to whatever lifestyle you have.
I couldn't walk when I got my dog, and he was very happy to keep me company and lay around watching me all day.  LOL

It's a big commitment, though.
