I stopped by the bank and got a wad of cash.....It looks good bulging in my left pants pocket.....(works better than rolled up pair of socks) LMAO

Me n roomie head out early tomorrow AM for the road trip.....It's 8 hours to Austin...We plan to spend the night on the town and then drag into the Harley dealer about noon and load up the bagger-pig-bike and head home.....I'm thinkin the drive home will be painful and slow due to the hangovers I hope we experience.

This country boy has heard that Austin has mucho entertainment and tons of trashy women willing to abuse us....I only have two days off from work, so every minute counts!

Any suggestions (or phone numbers) for a great Tuesday night in Austin? :hi5:  :dancin:

I have one thing to say, 6th street. From what I hear it's the Bourbon Street of Austin.

Have fun Keith.

6th street, huh?

I hope it's like Hotel street in old Honolulu where I lost my cherry and all my money to a thick haired-big butt-brown eyed heart thief of a woman!.. LMAO

YEHAW!

This Austin guy is in Lubbock this week, but http://www.austinsings.com can help you on the Karaoke side of finding something/one to do.  As for me, my place to sing is Common Interest where I can sing and play trivia too.

I've done both, as I used to live in Honolulu. I used to practically live on 6th St I used to go out so much. 6th St area is way better than Hotel St - at least from my experience. XX is right also, as 6th has changed. I'm sure there are still some decent places there, but most people go to what is called 'The District' which is an area just south and adjacent to 6th St. That would be 5th, 4th and on and it extends from near IH35 over to  Congress and then some. That's the area where there are a lot of warehouses, but they have converted them to clubs. Fado's is a decent Irish bar. There's The Gingerman for many beers on tap. Lots of other clubs, live music, and entertainment. Pick up a Chronicle paper for free just about anywhere for events and nightlife. You can also check out www.austin360.com which usually has various info as well. If you'd like to try some good micro brew beer - my favorite is The Draught House http://www.draughthouse.com/ . They have free bratwurst on Saturday at Happy Hour and free pizza on Wednesday (which is my fav night).

If you are into the country scene you probably want to check out the legendary Broken Spoke on South Lamar, and perhaps Dallas night club (I believe on north Lamar) for kicker dancing, etc.

Let me know if you need anything specific.

Oops. Just now seeing that you are talking Tuesday (tonight), and are probably already here on the town. That's too bad, as Tuesday is slow. It picks up as the week goes on. Usually Wed is the first pseudo decent night. My fav has always been Thursday for partying and finding women as it's not nearly as crowded as the weekend (which can just be insane sometimes), but there's still plenty of people out.

went to the Broken Spoke for the first time about two months ago....I had never been there but the band was really great. What a hole in the wall though (a dump!). There were some nice looking women there though (especially Debbie!) -had to add that or suffer verbal abuse...
