I got an email today from a long time friend. I sang in a rock band with him for about 6 yrs. I had no idea what he's been up to the last few yrs though.

It seems his wife wrote a broadway bound play (a 12 million dollar production of "Tale of Two Cities") and he is one of the producers. SHOCKER !! It opens in Florida. Here is a video clip of them being interviewed on a local Florida TV channel.

He has been the lead in many successful plays like Les Mis and Civil War, but I had no idea they were doing this! I am just so happy for them both. If anyone one lives in Florida be sure to check it out.

That is so awesome!  I have a friend who is a cast member in that show!  Wish I were able to catch it...

I did get my info wrong though. She did not write the play. They are both executive producers, Barbra Russell and Ron Sharpe. I talked to Ron yesterday.

If it does go to broadway we are going to make the trip to NY and see it. So you'll have to let me know your friends name, so we can say Hi.

Ron Sharpe!  He was Marius with the Les Mis tour years ago, wasn't he? (I had such a crush!)  A friend of mine was the Val Jean cover...I think I have his signature in my Complete Les Mis book!  *laugh*  Small world indeed.  My friend is Walter O'Neil.  He's ensemble...I think he has an actual character, too, but he's just listed as ensemble in the cast list.

Hopefully, I will be back in NY by the time it makes it there...wanna sleep on my couch? *laugh*
