has anyone tried the akg 40dual hand held just wonder how they perform im useing sen 835s now and a sen wireless but thought about going wireless insted of the two 835s   thanks bbqbutch

I own a WMS40 and am very familiar with the 835.

You won't find the WMS40 to be as good, but it is pretty decent. I have trouble with the amount of gain it has, for some reason. When I trim it so that it doesn't clip, I have to
boost the fader higher than with other mics.

I keep going back to my SM-58. I have the WMS40 out all the time, and can use it, but I prefer the 58. I guess I had better break down and buy a wireless 58.

Or a sennheiser ew-135-g2 evolution, great sound, built like a tank,great german build quality at around 500$ dollars, all metal construction, heavy in the hand,good investment in sound (unless of course the drunks want to throw them at each other, then they become a lethal weapon)!

thanks guys i really like the 835s  i have a friend that works at akg and can get it a real  good price  thought i might get rid of the wires. sounds like they might do the trick i pride my show on how good it sounds .everyone says its the best around here .and i dont want to cheapen the sound of my singers   thanks
