It's that time of year again folks! Halloween is just around the corner and time to dig up all the ol' scary campy flicks of yesteryear.
What are some of your favorite Horror flicks? :fright:

I don't watch scary movies.... unless.... my hubby is beside me and I have his solemn WORD that he wont budge from beside me before, during, and after the movie. I get too skeered:)

Heyell Charm, the bad guys should be skeert of YOU!!!
For myself I prefer the "mess with your mind" kinda movies, all that blood and gore doesn't do anything for me.
Unless it's about vampires, I've always had a weakness for a good vampire flick hehehe

If you like "mess with your mind" type movies, you like suspense movies with a twist.. The one that I like wasn't horror but it was quite good. "Shattered" with Tom Berringer. The Vanishing with Jeff Bridges was excellent too. I also had the european version (until I made the mistake of lending it out. That was the last I saw of it)

The Vanishing will keep you on the Edge of your seat ! It's an amazing movie in terms of suspense horror. Jeff Bridges just does Mental Illness well. Keifer Sutherland wasn't bad either.

Keifer is the king of krazy kewl . And Jeff Bridges is just too kewl for words.
Ain't it funny how some actors/actresses are too good at playin' warped/demented people? Kinda gets ya wonderin' what might be goin' thru their minds on a normal day huh :looney:

I love scary movies. "Resident Evil: Extinction" was the latest one I've seen. Good flick.

It's part of the job requirement that actors be slightly less than sane. *laugh* Why else go into a profession of near CONSTANT rejection?
As for me...I don't really do scary movies - I have a highly over-active imagination. I'm a GREAT date for a scary movie, though...*lopsided grin* I like suspense and thrillers, but definitely not the bloody gory stuff....the only exception being Evil Dead and Army of Darkness. But those are a bit more camp than actual horror.

I don't really mind scary movies as in.. Friday the 13th or Nightmare on Elm St.. stuff like that.
I don't much like movies that deal with the paranormal. That shyt freaks me out. :fright:
I'm more the chick flick or comedy type person. Give me Jim Carrey, Chris Farley, or Owen Wilson any day.

What no Evil Dead 2 (Dead by Dawn)? I thought Bruce Campbell was a perfect fit for all three of those Sam Raimi films. I liked Phantasm and The Fearless Vampire Killers also, so that probably shows that I just ain't right.

There's a new vampire flick comin' out on the 19th just in time for Halloween, it's called [glow=white]30 Days of Night[/glow]. Looks interesting, here's the link to check out the trailer:
www.30daysofnight.com/
I'm hopin' it's decent, the last really good vampire movie was [glow=white]Interview with a Vampire[/glow]

So you and I are the only ones then LOL . By chance have you ever watched Sometimes They Come Back ? In case you haven't noticed I tend to like the more obscure independent type films.

Ok but can we do it during the day time, gets kinda dark out there at night.....and um....you know what comes out after dark. Quote: Then there's Saw IV--loved the first one but haven't seen II or III yet. I watched the first two, they are a little more gruesome than I usually like. Quote: Try saying that fast three times
Thanx, I think I sprained my tongue.
I am a collector of obscure flicks, like "The Fearless Vampire Killers' I had to get that from spain.
Hey there is something on the Discovery Channel about "Alien Human Hybrids", Maybe before I come over you could maybe show me some ID.

It appears we share a taste for movies American Werewolf in London was my favorite for a long time.. but now I think Wolf (Jack Nicholson) takes its place. I'm a big fan of vamp books/movies too.
Oh and Keifer... heh... yeah
