Are you dressing up this year?

It seems less and less people dress up every year. I love Halloween and look foward to dressing up for the occasion, so I don't understand when people get all "Bah Humbug" about it. Maybe i just want to big a Big kid forever.  :D

I'll just do what I always do. Slick my hair back and suddenly I'm a vampire because of my widow's peak. We like to watch Rocky Horror on Halloween and hand out candy to all the kids. The youngest kids are always the most polite. It warms my heart to be thanked by a 3 year old for a handful of candy.

BTW - Halloween is my favorite day of the year. I wish it could last for two or three days.

Halloween is a terrible time of year for me.   Six years ago on Halloween night coming back from my Saturday Karaoke gig my car broke down and I was forced to walk about 3 miles to my house.  When I arrived at home I noticed that the front door was wide open but none of the lights were on.  As I ran into the house I began to call out for my wife and children, but no one answered. I tried all the light switches but all the power was off in the house.  I made my way down to the basement feeling my way around the walls until I got to the breaker box and was able to switch the power back on.  I immediately noticed blood on the walls and floor; I ran around the house frantically looking for signs of my family but could find no one.  I picked up the phone to call 911 but it was dead.  I turned to run out of the house when all of a sudden someone grabbed my arm and began wrestling me to the floor  I couldn't see who it was as they had a mask on and I started to feel sharp pains in my side as I was being stabbed repeatedly and began to feel the warmth of the blood gush out.  As a struggled I could feel myself losing consiousness and all I could hear was the horrific sounds of someone screaming
"paradise by the dashboard lights"

Halloween is awesome. My favorite holiday.

I'm goin as Tom Cruise (Maverick) from Top Gun this year. Ya know Tom before he went all wacko. :)

Now I just need to find a karaoke bar that week so I can sing "You've lost that loving feeling" in true 1986 style ;)

I am thinking of dressing up with a shirt and hat with the "BMI" logo.

To go with it I will be wearing fake vampire teeth of course (and maybe a bit of fake blood).

Halloween is huge in my town. I have friends that get as many as 5 different costumes for the week of parties. I allready have two additional karaoke gigs that week (at private homes of friends) besides my weekly bar gig.

I was going to be ISIS but I procrastinated this year.. So now I am going to be a cheerleader. I am gonna make a "Mary's" logo for the front so I can be an official cheerleader of my favorite bar!!!
