Oy, so now I've got to sound like Barbara ? Who knew :( Better I should quit first, I feel some shpilkes emerging and I might not be well. Please excuse me, but tawk amongst yawselves, don't worry about me, Just becawz I'll be gripping the toilet gasping for air doesn't mean you kind folks shouldn't live and be well, so continue, tawk.. I'll suffer in silence... Here's a topic.. "Trying not to dwell on a friends suffering while you enjoy life", so tawk amongst yawselves !

Sometimes it really can be something as simple as your breathing technique and that's exactly how it sounds to me Steven, like you're not getting air into your lungs.
A good exercise is to place your hand against your abdomen when you're singing. If your hand/arm moves when your abdomen contracts as you inhale and exhale you're using your diaphragm which is where proper technique comes into play.
Sounds simple yet it really does work, you should give it a shot.

Nothing Moves...Seriously, except as I'm exhaling singing, but during the singing no vibration... I really don't think I have a clue how to project a singing voice

Have snakes discovered NYC yet ? I'm pertified of them (not sure why), just saw one today, and dispelled the rumor that they are more afraid of me, than I am of them..I Was walking to the grocery store, and saw one sunning itself on the path (garter snake, cute little thing actually), and it really had little intent on moving.. so I inched closer to it, and finally it slithered away (I think as the weather gets slightly cooler their metabolism slows down anyway). I realized I forgot my wallet so headed home to get it.. Snake was sitting next to the path with it's head up looking at me, it really didn't want to get off the path and he had little fear, didn't move when I crossed it's path, so I walked around a different way.... Went back to the store with my wallet (3rd pass) snake was still in the path sunning itself... So I took a detour home, and went the long way knowing the snake had little intent on trying to avoid me.. It won, He got his day in the sun, and I walked the long way...

Sure we have snakes here! Growing up, my older brother had so many as pets, at different times of course! My ex-boyfriend had 2 that he kept as pets, a Ball Python & a Boa Constrictor. They ate mice, which was really horrific to hear, yes hear!! Those poor mice, never had a chance really! Come feeding time, I always made sure I was out of the house!

Well, I'm not talking about as pets.. I'm talking about natural habitat, such as garters, rat snakes etc.. Figured in central park there'd be a few now-adays, but not sure there've always been wild snakes in Manhatten, I suppose in Brooklyn there'd be some snakes... But manhatten ? Dunno..

If I ever had a snake it'd eat like me... Fried Chicken, Hotdogs, and hamburger.. It'd learn to eat that stuff.. Probably end up with an ulcer, and chronic heartburn too

You are absolutely correct. I should be.. Thing is, I don't smoke, I don't drink.. When I pick up a container of diet coke, (if my parents are visiting I hear "Instand cancer, put that down")... I eat poorly true, but I've got to do something that's fun, I'll die of boredom otherwise !

Knit one, pearl two, drop a stitch, than you're thru.. (Which showtune was this used to sing round format in over the main theme) ? I think I recall, not sure.. Any guesses ?

I'm thinking "Oliver". Of course then I started thinking "Mary Poppins", wondered if it was the Sound of Music, it's not...
It's waltz format.. and it has several overlapping rounds that come in...
One of which is
Knit one, pearl two drop a stitch than you'r thru... (another verse same structure) and last stanza "Than you are done", and it repeats a few times.. overlapping a different song

I had a small roll in the Jr High production.. . I'm quite sure it was one of the british theme musicals, just don't recall which one.. I seem to recall a lot of Pip cheerio stuff going on in this musical Now this is going to drive me berzerk until I find it. The internet is not very helpful when it comes to showtunes from long ago and searching out obscure lyrics.. Three Penny Opera ? Grrrrrr
