karaokerampage.com  ?? I bought a few Legends cdgs from this guy on Ebay his SN there is karaokeblaster & he sells Legends cdgs. They are soo obviously bootleg & I asked for a refund & this is what he wrote me :
We do not deal in illegal activity as you seem to be suggesting. These cd's are compilations made exclusively for ebay. Please visit karaokerampage.com for more information. If you are unsatisfied with the CD's, then please return them for a complete refuns, pre our satisfaction guarantee. Thanks for contacting us. So I went to this site & dont know what to think now.. Any thoughts ?? My first thought was EXCLUSIVELY FOR EBAY ??? I dont think so. Yours ??

Yeah, that's a non-explanation if you ask me.  Still, it seems like they're willing to give you a refund, so if it bothers you, just send them back.

I would forward the correspondence (yours & his) to e-bay as well, he is obviously trying to play off that he has some sort of an agreement to sell those on ebay.

I seriously doubt they are legit.

They sell songs at 1.25 a piece and many of the songs that they seem to be selling are only made by Sound choice on their custom disks.

It seems too much coincidence that a company selling songs from an obscure band would choose the exact same songs as SC and no others.

If it was a legit SC burn site they would have to charge a lot more than 1.25 a song.

As for one of their "deals" they sell 4 dvds with 750 songs for only $25, but the song listing for the set still has the songs listed by 40 different CDs!!!

If the company charged a bit more say $3.50 per song burned they might appear a bit more legit. At the prices they charge one has to wonder.

Now they may have bought some legit CDs ripped them to their drives for resale/use and then sold the cds after copying them on EBay.

The legitimacy of that is an interesting question, if it is a legal copy that was used for illigit purposes (copying to a db for resale), and then sold as a legal (used) copy then it is an interesting question on it's legality (for us). It would be a lot easier if the company did not make it SO obvious what they are doing.

With "used" disks on ebay, one has to wonder how often they are just resales from a KJ who went to computers or a KJ who really left the business.

That's not the buyer's responsibility... alll we should care about is that the disc isn't a burn. Period. What they do with the legitimate pressed disc is none of anybody's business. Do you go into ANY store that deals with used items and ask what the items were previously used for? Cars? CDs? Sofas??

LMAO

So I quickly rec'd a refund yesterday from this guy & will be doing exactly what Lonman mentioned. Its sad that others dont care if they are legit or legal..( ok you guys dont flame me) but we pride ourselves in being legal & we think it matters in certain places like we have a gig tomorrow at the University. & they want to know all kinds of stuff, if we are a legit company or a shirt tails kind of business & we felt so good knowing & sharing that we are "up to par" with theyre standards. When I get a fake cdg it just urks me. I dunno guess Im just like that...ok Im not gonna ramble anymore LOL

Don't blame you, when I buy a disc for my show, it needs to be the original.  If it's not, I can't use it in any manner.

No flame here... I'm the same way!

If it's not a real cdg (manufactured press or legit burn as a custom), I don't use it in my knightshow gigs! I got one burn from someone that was selling burns of the Eagles CDG from SC, and yeah, I got my money back!
