I'll tell ya that figure 8 is tough. The funny thing is the stuff they make you do on the test is stuff I'll probably never use. Who ever has done a figure 8 in 1st gear on the streets. LMAO My goodness the whole test is in 1st gear. I felt like the snail on the ground next to me could have gotten through the test quicker.

I took my motorcycle driving test back in the '80s on a sissy little Honda CMT 400 2 cylinder street bike.
The CMT probably didn't stand for Country Music Television, but I felt retarded just the same.
It didn't take me long to move upwards to a Honda CB750....had to have that 4 cyl. growl in a bike. And I growled all over the place for sure....until I wrecked it at 20 mph into the back of a pickup truck as witnessed by all of the car cruisers in the local park.
I didn't care that I almost crushed my skull after flying through the air and landing just short of a tree (helmet strapped to the seat).....it was just embarrassing as hell....and somebody stole my watch d*mn it!! LMAO
But I always had a craving for a Kawasaki KZ1000 like all the cool dudes were riding at the time....stretched out 12 inches in the back looking like drag bikes....and whipping up on any Honda 750.
I was too poor as a young dad, so I was lucky to have the Honda 750 for a measely $650.
I lost interest in the old Jap street bikes though soon after my spill, and vowed to never buy again until I could afford a Harley.........I'm still waiting. :newlol:

Keith I'm getting chills thinking about your new bike - so cool. You have to be chomping at the bit to get it. I can't wait to see the pics!

You can believe I'll post pics....
Ok, it's a done deal, sales manager called back this evening! I pick it up day after tomorrow from Cowboy Harley in Beaumont Texas....Pearl White 1200C loaded with chrome....Progressive insurance gave me a hard time so I went with Geico. Geico did it over the phone and faxed my policy to dealer already, and they did it for 100 bucks less/year....360/year full coverage with uninsured motorist ain't bad.
That sucker will be in the gameroom by Thursday night, and i'll post some pics.
Babs, I DO HOPE that you park your bike in the house and not outside or in the shed. Bikes are VERY sensitive objects, you know?

Are you kidding I park my baby in the house. It has it's own bed and gets baths regularly. I love my baby. :D

Always picking on my cute little kitties. Shame on you LOL
I named my bike Baby. Girlie of me I know. We are going out to Richmond Illinois tomorrow (about 50 miles). Then maybe hit Lake Geneva. I can't wait. It is supposed to be a beautiful day for riding.

Girl's, Seems we need to teach Keith something about cats !
He doesn't realize you can do that with larger cats too, that's the reason you get them declawed !
but it's true, even a kitten no matter how hard you throw it, it'll still land on it's feet. That's what I could never figure out.. You can stand on the top of a stair landing holding the thing upside down, hurl it into the air, but when it gets to the bottom of the steps it'll be on it's feet.. (problem with cats is they aren't loyal pets, no matter how you treat them, they run off)
<If this doesn't get me hate PM's, nothing will>

No! Don't never de-claw them if you are going to toss them at your buddies!....They won't stick when they hit....Kittens are so cool when you throw them overhand-they spring out all four legs and extend their claws right before they hit.....All you see coming at you is hair teeth claws and giant eyes!

Mod and Folks I made a bad mistake, Ignore the wrong button I hit while intending to form MY post !! I just woke up from a nap, and in the process of intending on cutting and pasting part of Keiths thread I accidently and stupidly clicked the report button on Keiths post as in dyslexically attempting to edit something into my OWN post half asleep.. I'm just that stupid at times ! Intent was to add a cut and paste from HIS thread within the body of my post, instead of hitting MY edit button, I hit his report button like an idiot.
Keith I was copying and pasting this in a comatose state when I hit the wrong friggin button in the wrong friggin post

Good point, I can't argue with logic, it's the throwing technique that changes depending on the size of the cat.. But if they don't stick, the process is useless, I can't argue with logic..

So when the girls go "Kappy, how'd you feel if your parents threw you down the steps to see if you'd land on your feet" my response is
I didn't, I kept landing on my head.. as should be obvious, and at first I admit I didn't like it, but I started getting used to it.
(no, I never habitually tossed cats around as a 3 year old brat, not after I almost lost an eye picking one up by it's tail.. but most kids will try this, especially male kids.. watching the gyroscopic kitty land on it's feet was low tech fun when I was a child, and I was told they had 9 lives, how was I suppose to know any better ?)

I taught my neighbor's cat to play dead, but he will only do it for me.
Most folks say you can't teach a cat tricks, but I know a secret trick. Now whenever he sees me coming he falls over and plays dead even if I nudge him with my toe, he just flops over with his tongue hanging out and his eyes glassed over.....Then once I walk away, he jumps up and runs off.
It wasn't easy, but I kept working with him till he got it right......All I had to do was drop kick him over the house a few times, then if he continued to move, kick him again. He finally learned to bounce a few times then just lay there like he was dead till I got bored and moved on.

You guys are to funny.
Last night when we got back from riding. (150 miles yesterday - woo hoo) I heard Dave in the garage calling a cat. "Here kitty kitty" I come down and he says I missed the biggest cat. He called it over, but it ran away.. We get in the car to leave and there is the biggest skunk I've ever seen in the road. Good thing that skunk doesn't come to a cat call.
