Your friend is right Steven. The dealer is "Cowboy Harley"....They treat folks square.

I'll head over there in the next month or two and get it done. I've changed my mind anyway and will get a pearl white 1200 Custom vice the Nightster.

Catus, I'm holding off on the Soltice for now...you know the reason....You shoulda been here last weekend, we fired up the system and Donna just about wore out the dance pole!

My preference in color in most cases with bikes is white too, Not sure why, but I like the looks of lighter metallic type colors.. Even pastel color for some reason.. Pearl especially..Heck, even my guitar picks are that Moto perloid stuff.. (white)

Cars on the otherhand I'll avoid white.. Tough color to match if it needs body work. Most of the metallic colors are as I recall..

Me n Cowboy Harley made a deal yesterday.......$9,980 out the door on a 2008 pearl white 1200 Custom.

That is over 3K cheaper than local dealer.

Now I just gotta wait till rain stops to go 150 miles to pick it up.

I'm thinkin first trip will be to visit Babs and bark up against her white Yammerhammer....Or wuz it a Suxuki she just bought? I hope she forgives me for making fun of her Jap bikes-I've had 11 of em myself, but this is my first Harley.

Just called my Nephew and he lent me his bike trailer to go pick it up.

It's going to stay parked in the gameroom next to the dance pole and mostly be used as a pic prop....I still got to put my truck in shop for paint n body work, so i gotta watch my money for next few months.....God, I never had so much spare change while i was married!

Now if only I can get Charmin to visit and sweet talk her into posing on it.

Now I haven't shot pool for over 20 years, so I'd be taking one hell of a chance, but if we were to have a little wager, well let's just say that might make me put my reputation on the line. I tend to be pretty good at everything I do....but pool is not a thing I do......but I'm a quick learner.....

Yehaw, the Sporty is home and in the gameroom next to the dance pole!....Cowboy Harley is a class act.....They had my bike all shined up waiting at the front door when I arrived....It had a big tag on it with my name on it.....took ten minutes to do the paperwork and another ten to strap it on the trailer....It's got 1 mile registering on the odometer and it will stay that way forever cause it will remain a display model.


Then we got serious about my next bike-the one I will actually ride........I could not believe how many they had in stock!.....they had a full selection of hand built new customs too.....I spent an hour in their apparel section picking out leather and headware, then eased up to the custom bikes....These guys have 400 new Harley bikes in stock! Plus many Thunder Cycle customs on the floor.

Next door is their Honda dealership where they have any and everything made by Honda on display!......These guys are into volume and they have streamline the whole process where everything is cut to bone with no haggling or bait-n-switch crap involved....I could have spent the whole day there just trying to see it all.

I'll go back once the new Harley "Rocker C" arrives in November and try to snatch a blue on.....In the meantime I fired up the Sporty and filled the house with exhaust.

Go to the Harley site and check out the Rocker C - Do the 360 view of it - I gotta have it.....It's in the Soft Tail section for 2008.

Oh....best part is the dealer came down more to $9,078 and tossed in a $50 gift card for appearal And another 10% off appearal for one year....So I spent 700 on jackets, goggles, helmet before I left.


I don't understand these guys....We had a deal @ $9,900!...I get there to pick it up and he comes down more to 9,078 without me asking...and I mean 9,078 total with no dealer prep or shipping fees or nuthin added.

Babs, if you were looking for me, you were out of luck.....I had been awake 48 hours and was beat to death.....So I lapsed into a coma and just now came back to life....Now I got 4 days off to blow.

Your turn Steven.....You can stay with me when you come to buy from Cowboy, then you can ride it back home!
