Greetings folks,
Rumors of my demise are greatly exaggerated. I am still alive and well.
To be honest, I really don't remember when the last time I visited here, so I'm not really sure where I left off or where I should start up again.
Basically in a nut shell.......at the end of last year, I had started working and managing a new bar in town....welllll, that didn't pan out, so this spring I ended up back at the Marina I worked last year. But basically what I'm getting around to, is my season at the Terrace View Marina is finished for the year. This year, I'm taking the winter off with the exception of a few private parties during the holidays. After a year a half of working every single week, I'm ready for some time off. I've already secured my spot at the Marina for next season, so everythings cool as far as the job goes.

Let's see...hmmmm, yep still sober since July of 06, not to bad for someone who quit cold turkey.
I stop smoking cigarettes as well, but before you start with the 'attaboys' I picked up smoking cigars instead. My motto,'Smoking a cigar is a luxury, smoking cigarettes is an addiction' Been smoking the stogies for about 4 months now. Rocky Patel, Punch, Gurkha so far are some of my faves. I buy most of my smokes from the internet, mostly at cigarbid which is part of cigars international. Any other cigar gurus in the house?

Love life, still the same, single and loving it. Would rather be alone for all the right reasons than with someone for all the wrong.

Basically that's it, nothing exciting, just thought I'd drop in and see how everyone was doing. This time of year reminds me of last year when it was about this time that folks started sending me the harley dipdots for my brothers xmas present. He still brags to everyone he knows about you guys and how cool it was for everyone to pitch in like they did. Not sure what I'm going to do for this year, but hopefully I'll think of something, but it will definitely be hard to top last years surprise of which I am still deeply grateful to everyone who helped out.

Glad summers over, or should I say, I'm glad it's finally cooling down a bit. Not sure about the rest of you folks, but here it stayed at record highs for a month straight. But I'm sure the heat has been discussed at great length elsewhere on the boards so I'll hush.

Anyway, glad to finally be able to check back in with you guys, hope this letter finds everyone in good health. If there's anything you think I've missed out on, please feel free to fill me in. Thanks folks

Good to hear from from ya.  Just bought a house and busy redecorating.  Removing old wallpaper!  GRRRRR!!!  Down to just KJing Wed nights now.  Will pickup up a couple more after the move.

Congrats.  While I've been "dry" for a long time, most question whether or not I'm "sober", or will ever be.   Congrats on quitting however.

BTW,  There's a Harley thread or two awaiting your return !

Yeah,  I had the same glow too, but not just when I was pregnant.  My glow was from being high as a kite, my face was red, and people thought I was preggars because my liver was bloated.

Pregnant????? hmmm, that would require sexual contact with someone other than myself. And speaking of contact with myself, boy howdy, did I meet a very nice young lady a couple of weeks ago. I was in Chattanooga at Burns Tobacco's which was having a special even sponsored by CAO cigars out of Nashville. They had the young ladies there giving out sample cigars and such. I happen to strike up a conversation with one of the gals and was very pleasantly surprised to find out that she also does ads and commercials for Harley Davidson as well. In the talks she also tells me that she had been on a reality tv show called Age of Love. Yep the little gal I was talking to was the winner of that show Amanda(I believe that's her first name) Salinas, and guys lemme tell you, the show did not do her justice, this gal has a smile and a sparkle in her eye that would make the coldest of hearts melt. I took several pics with my cell phone, if any of them are worth a hoot, I'll try and post (well as soon as I figure out how to get them from my phone to my computer) But anyways enough about that.  
 
Kappy, hey bro, you're gonna have to help me out on finding those harley threads you made reference too. I did a search and came up with the dipdot threads which are best left dead at this point, but couldn't find any other reference to harley.  
 
Today is October 1st and here in the state of Tennessee the smoking ban becomes law. Think about it folks, some people have nothing better to do than try and dictate how I spend my leisure time. Smoking cigars is a luxury, smoking cigarettes is an addiction.
