Here I am alone again.....not even Kappy in sight......god I miss BigDog....did I just say that?....

Who is BigDog?

I liked Bigdog.. I'll also never minimize the feelings of my friends in here that disliked Bigdog.  My own relationship with Bigdog, and my love for facetious humor just put me in a different category than most, I viewed things with a different perspective.  When I disagreed with Bigdog,  I stated my reasons, and he NEVER challenged or condescended on me or my opinions.  He never delt an ad hominem attack towards me when I disagreed, AND I NEVER saw him feel a need to even get "last word".. I read his content,  smirked a lot at his posting style.. My own feeling is like how he was or hate it..  He loved and stuck to Karaoke content..  While the style of posting wasn't appreciated by many..I really did enjoy his presence, and I found that assuming something became repetitious, like so many of my own posts, all had the option to skip over them.. To me Bigdog was Bigdog,  He was a smart guy who existed, wished to keep his anonymity so he could feel free to use this place to have fun, and voice his opinions even opinions that might affect his work assuming location was divulged.. I can understand why a person would wish to keep anonymity in here too (assuming they at times wanted to spout out about their boss, work venue, etc without fear of reprisal)...
Fact is however, Big Dog did tell a few of us his name, and his location. He determined who he felt comfortable opening up to, and those he trusted turned out to be a few that didn't divulge who he was... Point being, he was never totally anonymous to ALL.. He had a style of posting that drove many bananas, but unconventional posting styles abound on the internet, AND, when it was suggested he use emoticoms so more understand him, he did-so...When a full thread was dedicated to how obnoxious he is, and how many hope not to see him in here again, he'd return with something like
, That's a guy who can take it IMHO and maintain his wits.. I wish I could be that tough..

 I've never been bothered in music rooms by the fact that sometimes almost 1/3 of the musicians are self acclaimed "Gods",  (Of course Bigdog would respond to this by saying "Why are you comparing ME to the self acclaimed Gods, I'm the real deal".. (and it'd crack me up)..  Some of these Guitar gods were actually amazing guitarists, and that within itself floored me.. I assume those that must boast a title, are lacking...On the internet this often isn't the case, but it can be the case too.  We all loved music despite what I often perceived to be obnoxious posting style.. Usually once I got to know the people, chat with them on the phone, I saw a VERY different picture.. Putting a voice, or a face to the posting style made me realize these people just have an even dryer humor (in real) than I have, and in some cases, these people aspired to be the best at what they do, they put 100% of themselves into their craft, and at times talking the talk is a means of psyching themselves to do what they do professionally, didn't mean they didn't take their art seriously.. But usually they just have a tremendous energy level, and although rubbing elbows with many..  due to his quirky posting style.. Big dog disliked nobody in here.. He took blows, and when he felt his character was attacked, similarly reserved the right to dish it out ..  but a few of us in here saw a very different side of Big Dog,  He really didn't wish to be banished (That much I know), he DID like Karaoke Scene, (that I know for certain too)

JMO (and ONLY that)..  I miss the guy !  


(Although it's been 9 months since his ban,  I won't let time allow me to forget that Bigdog was a friend of mine in here too as MANY of you are, and it'd be hypocritical of me to allow the passing of this time to minimise this fact and sheepishly go with a flow.  To me that'd be a sin)

Wow, Kappy....I was here well after Big Dog, so never saw any of his posts, but that was a really great summation.  Piques my curiousity about the guy...*laugh*

Yeah that's it..  Did it say on the blue foil exp. 04-72 ?  One of the dollar bills would've had phrases on it that might've resembled what a kid trying to cheat on his highschool typing exam would've looked like.  The other was folded, and said "Eat Meat at Joes" on it.   As to the color of the wallet,  Don't recall, my memory's really bad
