I am going to be spending a week in Philadelphia, and then another week in the Poconos, starting Aug. 26th. I have already found some things on the net near the Poconos, but not in the city. I am staying right downtown at the Hampton Inn.

If anyone has a show to recommend, or a web resource that I can look at, I would appreciate it.

No one from Philly or SE Pennsylvania around here, eh? Do they do karaoke in Philadelphia?

I don't know what shows there are in the Poconos. You could probably call up some of the resorts and ask them if they have Karaoke, and on what nights.

As for Phili, I don't really know the area that well. I do know of a place that runs an excellent show on Saturday nights, but it's in Rockledge, PA (probably about a 30 minute drive away from Downtown Phili. If you're interested,   it's called Breen's Huntington Inn and it's located at 704 Huntington Pike in Rockledge, PA.

Thanks, Cueball. Actually I found a fellow I know from another life who has recently put up an authoritative downtown Philly karaoke page. Would give a link except for site policy, but if you google "karaoke philadelphia" it will be about 3 links down.

It looks like there is karaoke 7 nights within either walking or short cab distance from my hotel.

In the Poconos, I found one fore Tue. and Fri. already, and I will probably run my own show at least once at the resort I am staying at. I brought a small powered mixer and a 10" speaker, and two good mics and my laptop. That is all I need to run a show!

I am ensconced at my suite at the Hampton Inn, and will be going to karaoke at the Rock Lobster tonight!

I PMed.

I have been out every night in Philly, and have found my mostly-country repertoire pretty well received considering no one else is doing too much country. 8-)

Thanks for stopping out on Wednesday and Friday, I enjoyed hearing country sung well. For someone who just started out fairly recently you have a fantastic voice and you made a somewhat slow week very enjoyable.

Thanks, Big Guy. I enjoyed stopping in to your gig. I know you were a bit under the weather, but you still sounded great.

I loved hearing "Life Is A Rock (But The Radio Rolled Me)". I doubt that I will hear it again, wow, that was great!
