Newbie here and novice to this all. So bear with me and if kind enough to respond please  give info in layman terms. I get flustered not understanding all. :)
Have all else in place but songlist organizer program and mp3 songs downloaded on backup drive.
SO Need first to get a songlist /laylist Program in place  for my laptop windows XP
going back  and forth from DJ  to karoake mp3 songs for listening and karaoke singers.
I need a  USER FRIENDLY program and easy to download and get up and running.
All of you have more knowledge 100 fold than me as to which program is most ideal: easy to organize all the songs downloaded on list - easy to find/songs by song title or  artist - playlists - the features that help all of you the most with your shows.
I want to be able to have DJ music going for an entire evening if no karaoke singers about ..OR in the Mix for those slow times-gaps when no one is getting up to sing. As Karaoke I will be bringing in asap and until the word spreads...

Expense of program...the cheaper the better, of course. Best for the buck. Saw somewhere about a freeware program that works in concert with winamp....see this is all GREEK to me...and has to be spelled out for me if someone could be so kind.
Roxbox name  have heard... Dont know where to find all. Would like to get a download TODAY..and get this going...

Also need to get MP3s . quickly..prefer...see my post about that. Appreciate ANY help! My competitors/bars are CREAMING me...with their karaoke going. Losing biz...lol.. Just for your info. I have my own houseband live music on Sat nights...have my own sound system and all...and am a singer myself...Can handle easily being a KJ just have to get the technical side done and up and at em.

can handle easily??

yeah, I guess it's easy to merely push a button. I guess it's easy to walk into a field where many pros are being pushed out of business because people want free downloads, free software, and the like...

I'm not mad at you... just at the continuing de-evolution of something I've given my soul for!

"can handle easily"  was meant in terms of the personality of an entertainer being able to bring the audience in - to participate  in entertainting fashion..showmanship..And that my friend, was cultivated since the age of four years old...with mega bucks in coaches, singin teachers. performance of decades, days and days and hours and hours of practice to sustain a successful career. A life time of dedicated hard work. And iwhen anyone struggling asked me any help along the way...advice....I was more than happy with generous heart to do so from the bottom of my heart.
All of you exchange tips of where and hows and what is available less costly. I have invested every dime I have in sound equipment, in the club itself in getting to this point...in establishing a new club in the area...and have only dimes left..work 16 hour days at  min and have reached bottom for funds..am being killed by a another club or two in short proximity....one bar owner that has a stone face and zip for personality with not one iota of music in his soul...sings like a frog...bought himself a karaoke machine and is packing them in every night on the mere fact karaoke exists.
Thanks for the help
