I was wondering if there exists a karaoke set-up which has variable playback speed control, while at the same time having pitch correction. In other words, are there any karaoke set-ups which allow you to adjust tempo (up or down) without affecting the pitch? I know there are playback units which have this feature. Your help will be appreciated.

I know I saw a player advertised - I think over at Pocket Songs - awhile back that said it had the capability to change the key without affecting the tempo and vice versa.  Other than that, an ex of mine had a computer program that would do it and he would make CDs for me with "personalized" keys and tempos.

If you want to process the files and use them later you may consider Karaoke Sound Tools (it consists of vocal remover, tempo changer, and pitch changer). It works for karaoke files (MP3+G, BIN) -- it will modify CDG part if you are changing tempo. It is not free though.
