the player that I was researching and purchased when I first became a member here is malfunctioning. its the cavs player with the usb function (203G I think)...the remote seems to be snafu
have changed batteries in the remote but it doesnt appear to help...it just will not navigate, plus I cant seem to navigate the usb function via the player without the remote...anyone experienced the same prob? and if so what is the fix? its gonna be a prob if I have to pack it up and send back to USA from NZ

I think the USB option on non-computer things can get flaky. My radio flaked out in a month! Sheesh!

yep I agree, this was just a rental option. Dennis actually turned me on to a nice jukebox option that is winamp based...I'm a thinking that provided I have the cdg plugin installed and the mp3+cdg in a folder that has a picture it should load and play but will have to experiment with that...unless of course Dennis has tried it...also I will need to rip the scdgs and that isnt going to be easy is it
