Hey guys, I want to tell you all that the immigration debate was FANTASTIC. You've all shown you have a lot of class and intelligence. It's very hard not to wanna strangle the person you're disagreeing with you because the topic is so important to many. You all kept your composure though I think some keyboards might have bitten the dust
I loved seeing both sides of the argument, you conservatives presented a lot and I got some really good info, and I'm hoping you got good information from me too.
That all being said, I wanna start another debate, and I want you guys to choose the topic. Relax, this debate won't start until we've all recovered from the last one I'm thinking one every couple of months. So anyway here's the poll... Can't wait to learn more from you folks

Sorry sweetheart  I like to stay out of the political debates. You guys knock yourselves out though. I just like to read it and keep my opinions to myself. I've seen to many friendships broken up over talking about religion and politics. I love ya darlin, but these topics aren't for me.

However, (and this would still keep me out of this Kelly)
I wouldn't mind observing a debate among those that are grounded in the following basic criteria

There was obviously a freakish condition with the atmosphere which is why it's best to leave that slim chance a fond memory and not push it LMAO

Glad you enjoyed. LMAO It was fun on some level. Maybe kind of like having your teeth drilled by the dentist while on nitrous. LMAO
To a large degree I dread such political debates. To do properly they take a certain amount of energy and motivation. You might as well not even start if you plan to bail later. Such inner searching, and analysis can be draining especially for someone such as myself who constantly questions and analyzes the world and existence anyway. For that reason I can see both sides. In a world - an existence where truth is obscured it can be hard to find the path. On the one hand I am very logical and will follow many paths of thought in my mind to their logical conclusions and then sum them in an attempt to see a large picture. I try and be objective, and throw out stuff if it doesn't make sense. I see no reason in this world to try and deceive myself about life, or any aspect of it. Truth is truth, and reality is reality. So, I see the plain hard truth about the law, and the enforcement of it, the concept that we need to protect what is ours. On the other hand I see the example of Christ, and that we should have nothing in this world, but live for the next and live for God's will. Give all of our possessions to the poor. Certainly that is a high calling. There is also the obscurity, and immensity of creation - the universe with all it's parallel dimensions, and a possibly infinite number of worlds. We are so small, and yet we see it all if we open our eyes.

Actual debate forums, or any academic symposium is very difficult. Like 3-D chess. To discuss a point from ANY personal perspective that precludes substantive theory, current law, and actual events without ability to see objectivity seldom stands a chance. Before I trained for certain topic debates, I had to go thru that grueling stopwatch routine where at the click of a trainers stopwatch, I had to argue the opposite perspective, and at another click switch back.. Having to have the ability on a topic to lucidly debate the other side every 30 seconds can drive one nuts..I never enjoyed getting my butt kicked in a debate, and in think tank setups, it's humbling to see some of the intellect BUT, I copped an attitude of respect for other folks in like setting, and decided that I might very well lose the debate but I'll walk away with a LOT more knowledge, and also confused as all hell..
Because sometimes while age might not necessarily provide all types of wisdom to those that think they know many things, In my case it granted me the wisdom to know how little I really know about things I was certain I knew about in the past.
A [strike]was[/strike] wise man knows what he doesn't know :)

Mags, Talk about anything you wish to discuss. Those of us that think it's a potentially dangerous topic given this type venue will attempt to keep out've the discussion (not that self-restraint ever works of course) . Just keep in mind that certain topics can get very messy in an area that's for all ages, both genders, and international. Don't think we are really restricted assuming it's kept within PG-13 type yacking... (Maybe it's "G" but I always cheat anyway )
