Hey guys looks like I missed a lot as I have not been on to check out things in a while..
With all the flooding here in Oklahoma we have been,... lets say swamped.
You would think that the boat biz would be cranking but alas no one can get on the lakes most of them are closed.
At least we drown our water woes with song !!!!
I look forward to checking back in and visiting with all of you great karaoker's.
I hope any of you that are in Minnesota were not in harms way.

Are you speaking of the June/July North Texas and Oklahoma flooding ?  Or has there been additional flooding since last month ?

i'm feelin ya, dawg!  here's some pics of our normal launch pad on lake travis.  fortunately the water has subsuded enough for us ot hit the lakes again here.  these are from when the lake was up about 20 feet from flood stage

to the left of this picture is where we use to park
Image

this is the ramp before the water got reaaly high.  notice the legs of the sign in the foreground.  i will explain why in the next pic.  for a reference of height, look at the payphone in this pic
Image

remember the legs of the sign in the foreground of the last pic?  those were the legs of the blue launch fee sign you see in this pic.
Image

i have many others but you get the jist of what happened here.

Except for this last week, we have had rain of some sort pretty much everyday.
The lake near my house had all of the ramps closed for several weeks.
There is still a lot of floating debris etc...

Not a plug(??) But if you guys have a chance check out
www.wildoklahoma.com, it is a new venture that myself and a coupe of buddies have going. No it is not porn of any kind.
Be sure to check out the link to the radio show.
Thanks,Kenny (Bluekaraoke)

Steve,  Is that about 20 feet above flood stage ?  I'd love to see a perspective showing the little roof that's got water up to it during normal stage.

no, 20' above full pool.  it got to 703 ft above sea level which is only 5 ft below the spillway.  i'll try to remember to take a pic or two on sunday when we head back out.

by the way, care for a game of hoops?

I can't find my flippers, and you know how some can be sticklers for defacing the court surface wearing improper footwear assuming it doesn't have rubber soles
