I think 5 years went by before i told him what I said.

My parents live in a ritzy Condo development where the golf course spider webs the Condo Complex,  If you push/slice the ball,  you easily will hit a condo on the side of the fairway,  it's a hazardous course with plenty of insurance claims. Similarly, if you hook the ball, you might hit a condo on the otherside of the fairway. Someday in a different thread I'll tell you why I often never went to look for my golfball.  (Especially after hearing the sound if glass breaking).

Remember in the "Jazz Singer" Neil Diamonds father goes "I have no more son" ?  Well,  my dad was pi$$ed as all hell, he has a crappy SOH !

ADDED IN:

Regarding Confessions.   I never broke 100.  Lord only knows what my score would've been on all 18 holes.

There was a course over in Loveland that had a par 4. About 1/2 block or block from the tee was a big ditch you had to go over About 40 yards apart was 2 great big cotton wood trees you had to between. Right on the other side of the ditch the fairway severely doglegged to the left. Straight thru the trees all you could see was rough and a bit of the fairway on the next fairway coming back. The first time I tried it I hit the tree on the left Plunk in the ditch.. Then you could do a drop and have a straight shot down the middle. Next time right tree.. Plunk...I never had a teeoff that had me so psyched in my life.

About the last time I played it I barely missed the tree on the right and pulled to the left and My buddy said where did it go? I dont know...Almost middle 40 million yards up the fairway LMAO We laughed about that......

Well,  I'd say see you at the bar later for TGIF   (but I got 86'd from the 19th hole too)

Well, my golf game is suffering of late, due to playing only twice in last year and a half. I need to go out more and play. I love playing, just hard to justify 5+ hours of playing. I went out to play Half Moon Bay course (very nice and very expensive) other day with my cousin. It was foggy and drizzly and about 50 degrees, but oh what a view. The view was very similar to Monterey courses, along the beach.

Best score I had was when I was between jobs, I played consistently for about 2 months. I scored 89 twice in a row but that's as far as I got. I never was a good golfer, just love playing it.

Same here...  The 3rd and 4th holes (around 1993)

Jian,  because of the cost of land in that area ?  I know Tokyo is very densely populated and land is VERY costly in some areas.  I'm sure acreage is EXTREMELY pricey in areas of Japan that would be able to afford golfcourse upkeep.  So the cost of playing the game would be higher.
