At the Safeway customer counter they put in another locked display case and the top 3 shelves were filled with Trojans.. Anywhere from $10 to 39.95.. I looked at the gal behind the counter pointed at the case and said "I didnt know sex was so expensive nowadays!!! OMG I thought she was going to have a heart attack!!!

They lock them UP?
I've never in my life seen such a thing... out here they're on the aisle right next to the women's thangs and the pregnancy tests.

If you're going to tell this story, tell it like it actually happened. She wasn't surprised at that comment, As I told you, She was surprized at your earlier comment when you tried to return them insisting "I pushed these into my CD but Norton couldn't find anything".

I did a Keyword search "Pharmacies lock up condoms"
Condoms are so frequently stolen from pharmacies and convenience stores that many retailers have placed them behind counters or in locked display cases. Public health advocates, however, believe retailers should distinguish the items from products such as razor blades, also pocketed often, since condoms help prevent STDs and unwanted pregnancies.
"We are certainly concerned about the availability of condoms in stores," said Eric Ostermann, executive director of the Wisconsin Public Health Association. "We'd hope they would not present any obstacles to getting their product in the community."
Advocates worry that, rather than go through a hassle, potential condom-users will risk unprotected sex, said Joanne Kennedy Coffman, director of patient services for Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin. "I have a problem with them keeping condoms locked up because it's creating a barrier," she said. "Instead of being humiliated or embarrassed, I am just thinking they will have sex without them."
The condom's return to behind counters is a throwback to 1976, when Wisconsin passed a law banning the display or advertising of birth control devices, provisions thrown out by the Supreme Court the next year. During HIV's growth in the 1980s, public health agencies promoted condoms and their use soared.
"Our policy is not to lock up the condoms," said Mike DeAngelis, a spokesperson for the national CVS drugstore chain, which acquired 13 Osco drugstores in metro Milwaukee last year. "Our loss-prevention measures are designed to protect product but still keep maximum access for customers." Racks that limit the number of condoms that can be taken at a time and that "click" when dispensing a product would be considered for high-theft stores, said DeAngelis.
At Walgreens, "It's our policy not to lock up condoms, said spokesperson Carol Hively, adding, "it is in the general interest of public good and safety to keep the condoms unlocked."

Retailers should receive state funding. Let the kids steal the things, so what ! This raises a good point (HAHA pun intended), but STD's and unwanted pregnancies due to tougher availability isn't a good point ! There are worse things the kids can steal IMHO.
(AFAIC They should lower the prices on these water balloons too ! Also remove the lubricant, because they tend to slip out've your hands when you try to throw one at the car !)

Actually I'm back in Greeley concentrating on karaoke again. My host was just by and we were discussing more format changes and long range plans.

I love building stuff as mentioned, but impact handtools such as hammers, even screwdrivers, saws get tougher to use as mild arthritis sets in. I hate that. Not sure when to ignore symptoms, and when to lay back. I have all the power tools for light projects, but I love using the handtools, even chopping wood, stuff like that, great work out

Close to a bar in Naples Italy I hung out in was an old wood shop. The first time I sauntered in the old man couldnt figure a sailor coming in but he gave ma a tour without speaking english.. Therer wasnt a power tool in the place even had the treadle grinding stone and lathe. Sometime later I was talking to an Italian in the bar that spoke very good english. You wanna do me a favor? I want to buy some beer and go visit an old man in that wood shop, So we got a bunch of Dreher beer and walked into his shop . He looked up and beamed. We had about a 2 hour visit He told me it was a 3rd generation business but did not have a son to carry on the trade. He was real curious about colorado and it was a visit that was priceless.
I had a similar experience like that in a welding shop in Turkey.. They just beam and tell you all about their skills. And they are very skilled in their craft..

Hanging a door, and needed a hindge....sent my wife to the hardware store. Clerk inquired "may I help you" wife responded, "I need a 3" hindge".....clerk reaches into a bin, grabs a hindge, throws it on the counter and asks..."wanna screw for it?"...wife says, "no thank you, but I'll blow ya for that clock radio over there on the shelf"...... ....really happened...
